Above: This is the face of someone who is always teaching + perpetually in transit!
As this wild week continues, I am excited to reprise what is likely to be the last installment of Office Hours of 2014!  In a few more days, I, like many educators, will have a blissful two weeks off...no waking up to an alarm, no pile of papers beckoning to be graded and no racing home to catch the fleeting light so I can take new product pictures for Beauty Professor.  In the meanwhile, here are three points of interest that MUST be discussed immediately:

Kindly scroll on for all the details as well as the Bottom Line...

Above: RoC Skincare...powerful and effective for smooth, even and glowing skin.
(1) As a RoC Skincare Ambassador, I am excited to offer an incredible giveaway.  On Monday 12/22 (at 9PM PST), one fortunate winner will be chosen at random to receive a basket brimming with RoC skincare as well as a $200 Visa card!

All you have to do to be eligible is to leave a comment mentioning your biggest skincare concern as well as one New Year's resolution...please also include your email address so you can be informed should your name be chosen.  The prizes will be sent directly from RoC and the winner must respond to my email with their mailing address within 24 hours of my email being sent, otherwise, a new winner may be chosen.  Can't wait to read your comments!

Above: A $200 Visa gift card...what perfect way to end the year!

  4. Hey!
Thanks for the article, it was a good read!
In terms of skin concern if say my biggest concern is dullness... Lacking that kind of summery glow. Having darker skin, I think it's important for my skin to look hydrated and full of life so that's what concerns me the most.

My New Years resolution is to 'go out and get it' there are many opportunities out there and things that I want but don't always go after or pursue half heartedly. This year I want to complete things WELL and do myself proud because I'm more than capable and I know I can achieve my best which is a lot.

    Bright blessings to you!

  6. Hi there - been following your blog for a long time and love your posts and swatches. My biggest skincare concern is the dark spots that have increased over time due to early sun exposure. I am much more careful to wear sunscreen and avoid direct sun now, but the sins of the past... My New Year's resolution is to get more organized, both at work and at home. Thanks for your great posts and keeping us updated on the latest beauty products.

  8. Very productive office hours, indeed. Mine are usually filled with footnotes I need to fix! Certainly not very glamorous. I love these pieces you are writing for NM which, incidentally, are not carrying LMdB Peau Vierge in shade 1 until some indefinite time in the future, so here I am waiting.
I am a fountain of youth seeker for sure. I have no fine lines and I want to keep it that way, but right now, my most imminent concern is keeping my awfully textured skin at bay. I have these nasty, tiny, red bumps on my face. They migrate as if propelled by chaos and they make me sad and furious. I am not one to make and accomplish any New Year's resolution so in general I avoid making promises I know all too well I won't fulfill, but if I had to state a principle I am trying to abide by is to clean my face at night whether I wear makeup or not. The night hits me with laziness and stupor so I have to make a demanding effort to get my cleansing routine done. If I have to fantasize about a resolution and imagine that guilt of unfulfillment will not hit me afterwards, it will be to wake up at 6 every day. I wake up early but I need more hours in my day!

  29. Happy Holidays, Beloved Beauty Professor!
I'm a longtime follower of your blog and this awesome giveaway gives me the perfect reason to finally sing your praises. I am continually intrigued by the products that you feature and inspired by your straight-forward point of view on All Things Beauty. You so eloquently detail products in a way that's pure poetry to your fellow beauty aficionados, and I truly appreciate the time, thought and personality infused into your words, photos and swatches.

Now to the business of your Roc giveaway: My greatest skincare challenge is battling dark spots and uneven pigmentation from years of sun worshipping. One of my resolutions for the new year is to write a minimum of 10 pages per day, no excuses.

    Enjoy your holiday break!

My biggest skincare concern is fine lines around my eyes. Pregnancy really left my eyes showing their age, unlike the rest of my skin. So getting back to that pampered skin level is a big concern now.

My new years resolution, to be patient and not give into frustration. This coming year I'm a first time mom, which means a LOT of changes for me. I know keeping my patience and not getting frustrated is going to be really important and something I will have to work at. No more throw and go for me =)
