A Charlotte Tilbury + Jouer Tuesday FOTD

Above: Key products used for my FOTD.
Hello dear readers!  This Monday was a delighful blur and before I offer up a slew of new product reviews, I thought I would share a FOTD featuring new products I’ve been loving (and of which I am in the midst of preparing detailed assessments) and using quite frequently as of late.  A bit of Tom Ford and Lancome, a touch of Jouer and a host of Charlotte Tilbury are combined together to create a clean, rosy look that’s perfect for the first (or second!) day of fall.
Kindly scroll on for the full product breakdown as well as an array of images and the Bottom Line…

Ah how I've missed you! With my recent wedding and my move to Manhattan, and my busy schedule at the hospital, I simply haven't had time to indulge in your blog like I once did. But at last, my move is complete, I've adjusted to my new hospital, and my personal life is back on full gear! And of course, one of the first things I do on my Tuesday off is to sit with a hot cup of coffee and read your blog. I've been reading it occasionally on my phone in between patients ((shhh), and made a few online purchases thanks to your recommendations. I'm using the bronze and glow everyday! I ordered the Tom Ford and YSL foundations, but I think I like the YSL just a touch better. It transfers less when I'm in the operating room and have to wear a mask. I also just ordered the CT powder, but Nordstrom isn't shipping that out until next week (I guess they're backordered). And now it looks like I MUST own this lipstick! I find that makeup and skincare is really the only way I can feel a little polished when I'm running around in terribly fitting scrubs all day. I've also started using the SK-II essence and clearing lotion. My med school roommate was obsessed with the two (and she had fabulous skin), so when I saw it's working for you too I had to get it. I'm excited to hear your thoughts on the Wonderglow:). I've been debating her blush too, but I'm scared it might have glitter or shimmer. Since I already use the Bronze and Glow (which has shimmer in it), I'm hesitant to add anymore.

      MG!

What a treat to hear from you! First and foremost, congratulations on your wedding! I am sure you were a glowing bride, indeed. Thank you for continuing to support this blog, my friend!

I am thrilled that you are loving the Bronze and Glow…it's a daily indulgence for me too and glad to hear that the YSL foundation is proving it self in the "surgical mask" test. Wonderful!

The CT powder is so worth it (hopefully they will get it back in stock soon!) and the BPerfect lipstick is divine (albeit a slightly dubious name!).

Yes…a fellow SK-II user…I am glad that you are having a positive experience thus far (as I am) and the CT Wonderglow works so well with foundation without being overly shimmery. The blush is fairly satin (rather than ultra radiant) and I was surprised about how pigmented even the lightest shade, First Love, is!

I hope your week is marvelous and I look forward to chatting again very soon…xoxo,

Hey BP, I have most of these CT picks in my shopping cart on her site. I was the tiniest bit apprehensive on sending the order sight unseen but I am so going to after seeing you're truly impressed with the quality of the products! Also, where is the Kanebo available for purchase? And, as always, you look lovely in your great post. Thanks for all the stellar advice.

Love that, Amanda! I totally am in love with each and every thing I've ordered from Charlotte Tilbury thus far and can wholly recommend the line ; ) Right now, the Kanebo is only available for purchase in the UK at Selfridges (I believe I linked to it)…sadly, the line left the US in April, but I still have some back ups because the formula is so amazing.

Thanks for the kind words…hope your week is going well…xx,

BP did you add tow other products to the Tom Ford foundation?

I did add a bit of the Wonderglow (for luminosity) and the Kanebo Cream Foundation to lighten up the TF shade a bit!

Gorgeous as always! I want to dip my toe into Charlotte Tilbury. I'm looking at of course Bitch Perfect and her pressed powder since i finally hit pan (yes pan!!) on my beloved D&G powder foundation. I was wondering if you could tell me the difference between TF Spanish Pink and Bitch Perfect please? 🙂 If they're too close I don't want to duplicate and will try and find another color I like. As always, thanks so much! 🙂

Thank you! I highly recommend a foray into the lovely Charlotte Tilbury line…the lipcolor and powder, especially, are so very special. For me, both look very similar in swatches, but TF Spanish Pink deepens on my lips while B*tch Perfect stays a creamy light-medium pink peach…very color fast.

      I hope that helps!
