Dolce & Gabbana Holiday 2015 FOTD — Glow On!

Prepare to bathe yourself in light, lovelies!  Today, I present to you a glimpse at a part of the Dolce & Gabbana The Essence of Holidays Collection.  This trio of products illuminates the visage in a glow that looks equal parts ethereal and entirely natural!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action…

Consisting of a limited-edition shimmer powder, a nail lacquer and a sheer lip gloss, my selections from the Dolce & Gabbana Essence of Holidays collection are understated yet stunning.  Harnessing the delicate beauty of pale pearls, golds and beiges, this trio works well alone while also possessing the power to transform the look of other products…versatile, indeed.

*The Glow Light Illuminating Shimmer Powder is a fascinating incarnation.  Although its moniker implies a “powder,” the texture is much bouncier and creamier, similar to a very thin cream eye shadow.  Once swept on to the skin, it imparts a golden light that melds with the complexion instantly.  I am impressed by the stunning impact of this ultra-light formula; it is finely milled so the shimmer is radiant rather than glittery and the lasting power is significant.  Combine those stellar attributes with the fact that it’s limited edition and this is a run, don’t walk situation!

Create memorable moments with The Essence of Holiday collection by
Dolce&Gabbana Beauty. Glow Light Illuminating Shimmer Powder dusts
your face in radiance, brightening it through an exquisite blend of
pearlescent tones. Its smooth, velvety texture and lightweight feel
cloak your skin in rare, shimmering perfection.

*The Nail Lacquer in #104 Glow Light is a luminous golden beige that allows the natural beauty of one’s nails to shine through.  The formula is still a touch sheer after two coats, but I appreciate the low-maintenance sheen that this shade creates.  The color is fool proof and I quite like the precise brush inherent with the D&G nail lacquers…it allows me to apply the polish quickly while mitigating the risk of crossing over to cuticles. Glow Light is every neutral lover’s dream!

Beauty The Nail Lacquer is inspired by the unique and vibrant colors
coming down the brand’s runways. It features a brush that has been
expertly redesigned to ensure great synergy with the high-performance
nail formulation. The new brush features a rounded cut and 470 bristles
to offer a smooth, effortless application with minimal streaking.

*Sheer Shine Gloss in #40 Pearl Shine…if one combined the essence of platinum, gold and silver with a touch of crushed pearls, they would find themselves with the ingredients neecessary to create Pearl Shine. This dazzling gloss somehow manages to be excessively shiny without the usual bells and whistles of obvious glitter. The soft pearl sheen really sets it apart, offering a blurring effect that makes lips look their fullest and healthiest. When used in tandem with a neutral lip liner (like Chanel Lipliner in Nude/Modore), this gloss takes on a “my lips but better” persona and the hydrating, non-sticky formula further enhances is value in lip color land…bellissima!

used day or night by itself or layered over a lip liner or lipstick for
full, showstopping glamour.

Love the products but, I must say I am sad about their recent comments regarding gay rights. However, that said, you look lovely, happy and healthy!
