By Terry Fall 2014 Densiliss Releases…A Swatch-Laden Post of Epic Proportions!

Above: A bevy of By Terry Densiliss.
In the nearly three years (!) that Beauty Professor has been in existence, the iconic French line By Terry has yet to disappoint.  Endlessly chic, wildly luxurious and unquestionably timeless, each product is reflective of classic beauty and craftsmanship.  This post is dedicated to the latest By Terry Fall 2014 releases…chiefly the Terrybly Densiliss Powder, Terrybly Densiliss Blush, Terrybly Densiliss Primer, Terrybly Densiliss Concealer (also reviewed HERE) and the brand new Rouge Velvet Lipstick.

Kindly scroll on for more details, an insane amount of images, full spectrum SWATCHES of each product and a By Terry look with all products in action as well as the Bottom Line…

Above: A preview of the full By Terry look.
Above: The By Terry Terrybly Densiliss Powder in #03 Vanilla Sand.
The By Terry Terrybly Densiliss Powder (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK) is brilliant.  The shades cater to a spectrum of skin tones and, from the luxe metal compact to the iconic quilted embossed surface, this powder is a beauty lover’s dream come true.  #03 Vanilla Sand is a wonderful match for my NC 23-25 skin and I adore using it as a setting powder (applied with a fluffy brush) and touch up powder (at which point I use the included powder puff).  It adds a touch of color to the skin, keeps oil at bay for hours and lends to a poreless finish that makes skin look like porcelain while still conveying a sensationally natural look.
Official Details:

This powder compact blazes new paths in wrinkle reparation and recasts the complexion in a youthful light by smoothing, mattifying and re-texturizing lined skin.  Exclusive Densiliss technology brings together mimetic micro-pigments and F.T.C.-Flawless Time-Control-soft focus prisms complex to silence telltale fine lines, camouflage stubborn wrinkles and seamlessly blur imperfections.  The luxurious silky powder sets like a second skin for a flawless sheer matte finish that stays put and weathers the storm.  The precision face puff guarantees tip-top application and touch-ups every time. Use on bare skin after moisturizing or dust over foundation to set.

Above: By Terry Platonic Blonde…a blissful harmony of peach and pink.
The By Terry Terrybly Densiliss Blush (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK) is lovely on every level.  I have had my eye on #01 Platonic Blonde for awhile and, upon procurement, can confirm that it is everything I thought it would be and more.  This peachy pink shade is simultaneously soft yet vibrant and the creamy texture blends into the skin with a satin finish that practically looks “lit from within.”  Every shade of this blush is silky, drenched with color and Terrybly long lasting…such a magnificent formula.

Above: It all starts with the base…the By Terry Terrybly Densiliss is brimming with ingredients that benefit the skin.
The By Terry Terrybly Densiliss Primer (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK) is a delightful gem.  This ultra-potent formula smooths onto the skin, virtually banishing visible pores and fine lines upon contact.  One pump creates a soft-focus finish that vastly improves the look of bare skin and following with foundation furthers its inherent value since it creates an excellent base to which foundation adheres for hours.  I got 11 hours of longevity from my foundation with this primer as a base…consider me duly impressed.  Long term usage may result in increased collagen production and strengthen skin and I look forward to monitoring the outcome!
Official details
This trailblazing anti-wrinkle primer harnesses exclusive Densiliss technology to deliver the powerful age-repair and firming benefits of a serum with the unifying action of a colourless corrector.  Mimetic Factor works to ramp up collagen and fibroblast turnover to fill in wrinkles and strengthen the skin’s density.  F.T.C.-Flawless Time-Control-soft focus complex provides sheer light-reflecting coverage to visibly smooth the skin’s micro-surface and reduce imperfections, guaranteeing results even on age-damaged skin.

Above: A swatch of the Terrybly Densiliss Concealer in Natural Beige in direct sunlight.
The By Terry Terrybly Densiliss Concealer (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK and swatched and reviewed in detail HERE) is all sorts of wonderful…infused with anti-aging, skincare benefits that  combat dark circles and puffiness while simultaneously brightening the eye area (without the use of shimmer!), this concealer is marvelous.  Shade 03 Natural Beige is a befitting match for my NC 23-25 skin…it is light neutral beige (that leans slightly yellow) that truly brights a lifting light to the orbital area.
Above: A swatch of Lady Bare in direct sunlight.
The By Terry Velvet Rouge Lipstick (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK) is a creamy, full pigment liquid lipstick with stunning opacity and supreme hydration.  I naturally picked the lightest shade, the expertly named #01 Lady Bare, and am beyond delighted by the smooth application and gorgeous nude beige hue.  It provides a nude look without washing out the face, wears for hours, adds moisture and fades evenly.  I am enchanted with this formula and cannot wait to procure #03 next ; )

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this ode to all things By Terry…in sum, her latest Densiliss releases (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK) are utterly spectacular and highly recommended for beauty lovers of all walks of life.  Yes, the products are an investment, but with Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Hanukkah and Christmas right around the corner, there is no time like the very near future to embrace the By Terry line…I promise, if you are anything like me, you simply will not regret it.
Have YOU tried of the new By Terry Densiliss products?  What is catching YOUR eye?
Good things ahead, including a new foundation-focused video and Black Friday Shopping Guide!  I am in the midst of travel and am working to respond to all comments and email in a timely manner…thanks for your support, understanding and patience.

    Hi beauty,
I love this post. I am not sure if you take reader requests but I was wondering if you could do a top 10 primers and a top 10 concealers and a top 10 foundations or something along those lines? I think your base make up arsenal is just stunning. I need some time to navigate it all and then choose accordingly. Do I make sense? maybe not; I havent finished my coffee 😉
    have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I would be happy to add your requests to my list of "to do's"–both are entirely possible in light of how many of both products I've amassed as of late ; ) Thanks for your interest!!

Are you wearing the By Terry powder foundation by itself in the pictures or did you combine it with the Shu Uemura? You look gorgeous!

I purchased the concealer based on your previous post and am really impressed with the quality. That was my first By Terry product ever . . . but I do not think it will be my last. The blush is tempting and maybe the powder. Does it have fragrance? Sadly, I seem to react to just about every fragrance out there. Love your nude lips. They never work for me, but always look amazing with your hair and skin tone.

That makes me so happy to hear, Robyn…thank you for letting me know. Yes, both the blush and powder do have the classic By Terry fragrance (similar to the concealer) and I, too, try to steer away from scented cosmetics but I've never had an issue with anything from By Terry!!

      Thanks for the kind compliment!

That lip color is perfection on you! I'm dying to venture into more By Terry products. I own a couple of the shadow sticks. I started with the Bronze Moon after reading about it here, which I absolutely love! I'm kind of obsessed with her sticks now. By the way, I think your blog is the best thing ever. Totally my go to source for luxury beauty. I've purchased several items based on your reviews and never have been disappointed – you know your stuff! Can't wait to hear about that Shu foundation, it looks marvelous! Hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Isn't Bronze Moon incredible? I am so glad you love it. Thanks also for your encouraging words…it makes all the time spent (and late nights!) so worthwhile for me. Shu foundation video tomorrow!!

Hope your Thanksgiving was beautiful…xo and talk soon,

How would you compare the Terrybly Densiliss Primer with the new Tom Ford primer. I've purchased a number of your recommendations and have all ways been pleased. Can't wait to see your review of the new Shu Uemura foundation.

I haven't tried the Tom Ford primer, Jan…all I can say is that the By Terry primer is STELLAR and, after applying some on my mom today, she promptly went out and bought a bottle (and she is not easily impressed with primers!). Shu video tomorrow ; )

xoxo and hope your Thanksgiving was lovely,

Great post, as always! Like Robyn above, I had also purchased the concealer based on your previous post and am also impressed with the quality. Unfortunately, I ordered a color 3 and really need color 2, 3 is just too dark for me. And because I purchased it through Beautylish, I can't return it because I've used it. But, it makes a great concealer for sun spots, imperfections, etc., the color just isn't right for my undereye area so I'm bummed about that. This really is a great line, though and can't wait to order more products. (I'm on back order for the Ombre Blackstars in Bronze Moon – can't wait to get it!) Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Omg, I never saw it and need it. Do u think I shld order from the shue website? Offering 25%off. What shade? Cleu in 30 is perfect and sensa 22 and almond beige work. I like neutral not yellow. Hi Gorgeous,
You look absolutely flawless in the photos! The base combo looks amazing on your skin and the whole look is so natural.
I love the blush colour and your lip colour, they are so going on my wishlist
My mother in law is getting me the By Terry luminous CC serum in sunny flash for Christmas, so I can't wait for that.
I had some samples of all 4 colours and sunny flash looked amazing on bare skin (over sunscreen of course) with a little concealer for a super natural and easy look.

    Take care and talk soon
