Desert Dreams FOTD: The Jouer Rose Gold & Springtime in Paris Collections + On Location Style

Happy April, lovelies! In today’s post, I am excited to share a glimpse at the soon-to-launch *Jouer Rose Gold & Springtime in Paris Collections (also available at Beautylish and Cult Beauty) which feature a rose gold highlighter, lip creme and lip topper as well as a stunning eye shadow palette.  All four pieces will be available on April 4th at 10AM PST!
I spent some time in the desert–Joshua Tree to be exact–with my family this past weekend and was inspired to shoot the collections, as well as full look with springtime style aplenty.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
Hidden Valley in Joshua Tree, CA.
As aforementioned, the *Jouer Rose Gold & Springtime in Paris Collections (also available at Beautylish and Cult Beauty) contain all elements necessary to create a radiant rose gold glow (for face and lips) and a rich array of matte and satin shadows for sophisticated eyes that pop.

Applying the Rose Gold Lip Topper.
The Rose Gold Collection is comprised of the:
  • Long Wear Lip Creme in Rose Gold (formula previously reviewed HERE): A delicate metallic with a divine level of color payoff, this rosy nude has a golden undertones that deliver incandescence while lasting for hours on end.
  • Lip Topper in Rose Gold: Rife with next-level shine, this golden nude pink has enough depth to be worn on its own (on a spectrum of skin tones, I might add) and adds unmistakable shine to everything it touches.
  • Highlighter in Rose Gold: A tender pale pink with gold undertones, this luminous powder looks resplendent on the high points of the face.

Replete with twelve matte and satin shades of eyeshadow for seemingly endless possibilities, the *Jouer Springtime in Paris Palette is breathtaking. The eyeshadow formula is buttery smooth with immense color payoff (as demonstrated in the swatches that follow) and the combination of warm and cool hues is genuinely unique.
I get 8+ hours of flawless, crease-free wear time with this particular amalgamation of shades and couldn’t be more enchanted with the palette’s style and substance.
Shade Descriptions (per my experience):
  • Matte cream
  • Matte powder pink
  • Warm rose brown
  • Neutral deep burgundy
  • Shimmering warm champagne (worn below…blended as a transition shade to brow bone)
  • Toasted apricot almond (worn below…blended at crease for dimension)
  • Midnight indigo
  • Lush satin cranberry (worn below…applied all over lid)
  • Radiant bronzy copper
  • Deepest brown-black
  • Icy orchid purple
  • Cool charcoal black

To create the complete look at the end of this story, I combined the *Jouer Springtime in Paris Palette and Rose Gold Collection with:
  • *Sulwhasoo Perfecting Cushion Intense #25 (reviewed HERE): Boasting an impressive SPF 50+, this cushion ranks amongst the very best in terms of coverage (medium to full), finish (satin matte) and lasting power (8+ hours, even in the heat). My skin stays blissfully protected while looking even and healthy…I adore this foundation.
  • *Suqqu Pure Color Blush #102: A new addition to my Suqqu collection, I used this brown and bronze ombre combination to lightly contour my face; Suqqu sells out quickly but is well worth the pursuit.
  • *Becca Sunchaser Palette: This genius new trio features a rich bronzer, apricot peach blush and glowing highlighter in the cult-favorite Opal shade (reviewed HERE), enabling one to fully polish and perfect their complexion in mere seconds. It’s a summer glow in a streamlined palette…brilliant!
  • Sisley-Paris Phyto-Poudre Loose Powder Compact in Sable (also available at Beautylish and Neiman Marcus and reviewed HERE): I used a touch of this finely milled powder to set everything and keep shine at bay; it’s always in my purse as of late.

// STYLE NOTES // For gloriously temperamental weather that’s all at once sun drenched and brisk, I love this cashmere sweater, classic cutoffs and a chic pair of nude slides.
  • Vince Cashmere Sweater (also available at Bloomingdales, Shopbop, Saks and Bergdorf Goodman): Super soft and warm yet breathable, this sweater–currently on sale I might add–is a versatile steal.
  • Free People Cutoff Shorts (also available at Shopbop): I can’t get enough cutoffs and these are some of my favorites.
  • Free People Sonnet Slide Sandal (also available at ASOS and Zappos): I picked these up last week while shopping…my current footwear was hurting and I had to trade them out (does that ever happen to you?).  My mom instantly pointed out this nude pair and I was sold…with a comfortable platform and decadent leather, this casual sandal looks lovely with pants, shorts and dresses alike.  I’m totally smitten.

These Free People sandals are simply effortless.

Gorgeous!!! Love your look & photos in the desert <3 Jouer's Spring looks so good too; always love rose gold, don't care if it's on trend or not; it's always my fave shade! Which are your fave Liquid lippie brand/formula and hydrating, smoothing, plumping (..no, I don't ask much 😉 lip primer?

Thank you, Mari! Yes, Rose Gold is so dreamy. With regards to your question, I am loving the liquid lip color formulas by Chantecaille (Suzy and Jerry are favorite shades) and the Moisture Matte Liquid Lip Color by Le Metier de Beaute is also wonderful; both are hydrating for being matte. So good!

      Hope that helps…xx,

      Hi Eesha,

Thank you for the kind words!!

The Rose Gold lip creme works well on a spectrum of skin tones and also pairs well with more opaque lip color options…love it still!
