New By Terry in My Life: A Pictorial

Above: By Terry newness.
This week, over a lovely lunch, I caught a glimpse of the stunning By Terry products to be released over the coming months.  While I am not yet at liberty to share the copious amount of images of these soon-to-be-debuted-wonders, I can discuss some of the new By Terry beauty in my life, namely, the Terrybly Lip Pencil in Baby BareCrayon Kohl Terrybly in Brown Stellar, Mascara Terrybly, Gloss Terrybly Shine in Be Nude and Rose Balm Gloss.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action…
Above: A harmonious By Terry family.
In order to create continuity,  I embraced some of my favorite By Terry products to create the look featured at the end of this post including:

Above: Swatches of my By Terry favorites in direct sunlight.
Above: Powerful pencils.
I’ve had my eye on the By Terry Terrybly Lip Pencil in Baby Bare for quite awhile and am so glad I was recently able to snap it up (it appears sold out on the Space.NK website but is still available at Barney’s).  The peachy pink shade (which, I might add, compliments my vast collection of pinks and nudes) glides on smoothly and imparts a creamy finish that is utterly waterproof without being drying.
Equally stalwart, the luminous By Terry Crayon Kohl Terrybly in Brown Stellar caught my eye as soon as I swatched it.  Although it may look like a standard brown eyeliner at first glance, the glimmering gold undertones come to life when placed on the skin.  It is radiant without being glittery and stays in place for hours on end…no smudging or flaking whatsoever!

Above: A wondrous mascara formula that builds lashes from the inside out.
I am not sure why it took me so long to try the *By Terry Mascara Terrybly in Black Parti-Pris (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK).  This formula is infused with a bevy of ingredients that yeild a glossy, jet black, lush and long fringe effect whie nourishing lashes on the long term.  My lashes stay soft and flexible all day without the slightest sign of flaking or smudging.  Additionally, you can add additional coats hours later without the risk of creating clumps…magnifique.  This is a gorgeous formula and indisputably worthy investment.
Above: Swatches of the By Terry mascara, lip liner in Baby Bare and Eye Kohl in Brown Stellar in direct sunlight.
Above: Lipgloss Heaven.
Above: Be Nude…perhaps the most risque caption I’ve ever published on Beauty Professor.
Finally, I was summoned by the siren call of two lip glosses, the first being the peachy pink Gloss Terrybly Shine in Be Nude (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK).  The plush, non-sticky formula is intensely moisturizing while packing an impressive concentration of pigmentation.  Be Nude is one of the brighter nudes I own, making it unique in my collection…I have absolutely no regrets about this impulse purchase ; )

Above: Rose Balm Gloss…just enough pink iridescence to make things interesting.
To round things off, I embraced the By Terry Rose Balm Gloss (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK).  After running through an entire pot of the cult favorite Baume de Rose (impressive, I know!), I was lured by the prospect of a doefoot applicator for round 2.  This formula is slightly more  milky and iridescent than the original installment, making it entirely appropriate for pared-down daytime glamour and a night time treatment.  It also acts as a marvelous base for lip color.  I hereby give it accolades for versatility!

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this By Terry pictorial; not only are Terry De Gunzburg’s creations (available at Barney’s NY and Space.NK) visually stunning, their sublime quality make them a pure delight to use! I absolutely cannot wait to share the specifics (and images!) of the coming collections and as soon as I get the green light, you can trust that they will be posted.
What are some of YOUR favorite By Terry products?
Good things ahead including my Omorovicza routine as of late (with an exclusive discount code for BP readers), some new product procurements, a fresh video and a style post or two.
Working on responding to another round of beautifully encouraging emails and comments this weekend; I am happy to say that, although he is confined to a cone for a couple of weeks, Jethro’s surgery went well and he is on the mend.  Another update soon…thank you, from my heart, for your supportive words and kind prayers!

    Hi BP!
ByTerry is probably my very favorite cosmetic line. If I somehow had to be restricted to only using one cosmetics line (THE HORROR!!!!), it would be ByTerry. Your teaser at the beginning of your post has me so curious! Do you already have your mitts on the new eye palettes and CC Cream? so much envy!!
SOOO THRILLED Jethro is on the mend!!! I don't know what I would do without my little fur-babies, they bring us so much joy, don't they?
Lovely post! Thank you for highlighting this amazing brand!!

      Hello SJ,

I think I am with you on that ; ) It is such a gloriously unique line with so much heart and luxury. I wish I could share everything I know/swatched etc. but I am under very strict orders to wait until closer to the US releases. Let's just say, there is much to be excited about and the CC Cream is to die for.

Thank you for your sweet words about Jethro…I am beyond thankful that he is healing so well. Fur babies are truly a blessing.

XOXO…hope your staying warm, my friend…talk soon,

    Hi BP!
Just today, I was telling a friend that you may have some information soon on the new ByTerry stuff, specifically the palettes that are being released. Would love to know your thoughts when you can share. They are a hefty investment and there is no counter close to me!
    Thanks,
    Faith

That is wonderful to hear, Faith…thank you for thinking of me. There are two palettes…a nude and a more jewel-toned option and they will release stateside in May. As soon as By Terry tells me I can share swatches, you know I will! They will both most certainly be worth buying when available…I cannot wait!

Ooo, those glam lips! Very pretty. I can't decide if I'm "past the age" for glossy lips anymore or not, but I suppose … who cares?! Wonderful to hear Jethro is doing well. I'm sure he's being aided by your love and care.

Why thank you, Robyn! It is my personal belief that no one is past the age for some By Terry chic-ness….glossy or otherwise!

Thanks for your sweet words about Jethro…we are definitely doing all we can to care for him!

Gorgeous, love this! Which foundation did you use, or did you just use the powder and concealer for the face?

      Thank you, Anon!

I used a touch of the Astalift Foundation in Caramel as an initial base…then, all of the By Terry ; )

I would love to try something from By Terry sometime. Question for you – would you rate the hourglass blush or the Charlotte Tilsbury blush higher? I have CT in love glow and was debating getting it in first love or getting the hourglass. Thanks!

      Hi Amy,

I recommend the CT in First Love…it is a near daily favorite for me and everyone I know who has bought it loves it just as much!

      Hope that helps…xx,

Thank you Rachel for this beautiful picures!
My facial lady is working with by Terrys makeup, even I do not like to put a lot of makeup after a facial, I can not resist to get a full application from her.

That lip color is fabulous on you! So glad Jethro is on the mend. The ByTerry products I use the most are the eye primer, and the Ombre Blackstars which I have in black, grey, gold, dark and light green, and burgundy. I apply them with an eyeliner brush and they never budge. I also have a few of the pencils and a mauve color corrector which I blend under concealer when the dark circles get worse. I always carry one of the rose baume set in my purse for a touch up, and several lipsticks– great formula. The eye pencil is amazing– never budges– the best. But for some reason I don't reach for them as often. This spring I expect to be wearing the green Blackstar with new TF Raw Jade duo– can't wait to see how it looks.

The green Blackstar with TF Raw Jade sounds like a dreamy combo ; )

Rachel, you look stunning as always, and I am happy to hear Jethro is doing well also! I hope you had a lovely weekend! 😀

I'm insanely excited, as I have the Smoky Nude eye palette on it's way from the UK as we speak, but I admit, I'm wishing I'd had my friend pick up the CC Cream as well…it's going to be so hard to be patient and wait for it's release stateside ;D. By Terry is definitely one of my all-time favorite lines for both cosmetics and skincare, her new products are always so exciting! Have a great week, BP!

    Lots of Love,

Ahh…the Smoky Nude palette is on its way…that is marvelous news. The shades are breathtakingly beautiful and so wearable and the fact that they can be worn wet or dry makes them all the more versatile. Enjoy!

Have a lovely week ahead and talk soon…xx,
