Le Metier de Beaute Obisdian Odyssey Kaleidoscope…A Different Kind of Neutral

Above: The Le Metier de Beaute Eye Shadow Kaleidoscope in Obsidian Odyssey.
I adore the concept of the Le Metier de Beaute Kaleidoscope (previously reviewed HERE and HERE).  Impressively compact yet brimming with color options, this genius gadget houses four layers of rich pigments that can be worn alone or blended together or endless options.  Allow me to introduce the lastest LE LMdB Kaleidscope…Obsidian Odyssey.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of Obsidian Odyssey in action…
Above: A look that I created with Obsidian Odyssey.
The Obsidian Odyssey Eye Shadow Kaleidoscope has three shadows and a split pan cake liner.  The shadows are silky smooth, with excellent color payoff and a luminescent satin finish that lasts all day without the slightest sign of creasing.  I am completely smitten by the overall effect of these gems!
There is a:
  • Bronzy camel-meets-dijon mustard shade…my absolute favorite of the three
  • Peach-meets-papaya shade with golden undertones
  • Pale opal pink shade with nearly lilac undertones
  • Split pan cake liner in both an onyx black and soft, slightly pearlized navy
Although I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards these seemingly bold shades, once applied, they have a synergistic effect that is utterly alluring. I start by blending a layer of the bronze shade over my upper lid.  I follow with a bit of the peach tone, blending within the crease, towards the brow line.  I add a bit of the bronze and peach to my brush yet again and sweep it across my lower lash line for a touch of depth.  I then sweep some of the opal pink at the base of my brow (for a highlight), making sure that all three shades are seamlessly blended.  The effect is bold yet earthy and entirely wearable!

The Obsidian Odyssey Eye Shadow Kaleidoscope Palette:
Le Métier de Beauté’s kaleidoscopes achieve their beauty not through its singular colors, but through the interactions between all the colors, it’s how the shades interact and play upon each other that yield an incomparable result. Each shade is handpicked by our Director of Color to communicate an inspired vision that allows for infinite looks through blending and layering of the palette.

Add luster to your life this season with the new jewel-toned eye shadow silhouettes from Le Métier de Beauté. A chrysalis break from the dull-drums of dreary neutrals, there is nothing more universally flattering than gem color. Jewel tones make everyone look instantly more radiant! Introducing The Obsidian Odyssey Eye Shadow Kaleidoscope Collection…take the voyage!

See this isn't fair because it's all beautiful on you and it makes me want it!! I haven't bought LMdB in a long time… I need to get on that. I've been blinded by Charlotte Tilbury lately!
