FOTD GA Maestro, Youngblood Creme Fdtn and Chanel Chintz

I recently took a quick trip to Hot Springs, Virginia…since I was only gone for four days, I toiled to pack a restrained amount of makeup and clothing so my suitcase made it under the 50 lb. limit.  I am delighted to report that I was successful.  I strived for a simple and classic look (no big departure for me, there!) that would take me from daytime leisure to evening social events with ease.  In the following images I am wearing…
FACE:

From left to right: Youngblood Mineral Cream Foundation in Warm Beige, Rouge Bunny Rouge Delicata and Sunday Riley Blushing.
Swatches from L-R: Youngblood Mineral Cream Foundation in Warm Beige, RBR Delicata, Sunday Riley Blushing.

EYES:
  • Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Eyeshadow in #28 (all over lid)
  • NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via Appia (on lower and upper lid lines)
  • NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Campo De Fiori (in outer and inner edges of eyes)
  • Sephora Waterproof Retractable Eyeliner in #12 Glitter Copper (under eye)
  • Mally Volumizing Mascara

The full effect!
From L-R: NARS Via Appia, Sephora #12 Glitter Copper and NARS  Campo de Fiori.
Swatches from bottom to top: NARS Via Appia, Sephora #12 Glitter Copper and NARS Campo de Fiori.

LIPS:
  • La Prairie Lip Enhancer (as a base)
  • MAC Lip Liner in Naked (thank you duty free store in Atlanta!)
  • Chanel Rouge Coco in Chintz (thank you again duty free store in Atlanta!)
  • Tom Ford Lip Gloss in Naked
MAC Naked liner, Chanel Rouge Coco in Chintz and Tom Ford Naked Gloss.

From L-R: MAC Naked liner, Chanel Rouge Coco in Chintz and Tom Ford Naked Gloss.

Swatches from L-R: MAC Naked, Chanel Chintz and Tom Ford Naked.
All in all, a wonderful trip! The Homestead in Hot Springs, VA is breathtaking!
Bottom Line: Although I certainly brought more, I only used 13 makeup products for the entire trip…this reminds me that I can travel with less and still be prepared in the beauty department!

Your eyes are stunning! I love that shadow you chose and how you paired it with a pale/nude lip; really gorgeous 🙂

Thank you so much, Ezi! I could do a nude lip and slightly smokey eye everyday of my life if I had to ; )

      Warm regards,

I need to check out that M.A.C. liner in Naked, that could be my perfect nude.

It was a fortuitous find at the Atlanta Airport Duty Free store…although I paid duty since I wasn't flying internationally ; )

It is unlike any nude lipliner I have ever encountered!

      Take care,

You look amazing, as always 🙂 I'm excited for your YB Creme Foundation review, I'm having trouble using it, it applies so heavy and I can't figure out how to prevent it from drying my skin 🙁

Dearest Krystal…you are so sweet…thank you! I agree that the YB Creme Foundation has a unique texture…so far, I think I like using it best in conjunction with another product (the coverage it gives for touch ups is amazing and quite glowing) but I will do my review using just the product alone to give a true picture!

Have a wonderful weekend and talk soon…

Hello, I caved in and ordered the new GA foundation in 4.5 since the store I went to was out of it. When I tried it at the store, I was amazed at the feel and how well it covers. I can't wait to get it in the mail. You really sold me with your recent reviews.

I am so excited for you, Rola! I think that if/when my skin becomes much lighter, that 4.5 would be what I would choose…it has such a beautiful golden undertone. You are going to love using this everyday…so happy I could help you in your decision ; )

Do keep me posted on what you think and thanks for reading…enjoy the weekend!

      xoxo,
