A Black Friday/Cyber Week Shopping Guide and My November Beauty Favorites

Navigating the Cyber Week waters so you don't have to.
Black Friday came extremely early this's not even Thanksgiving and I already feel like I'm playing catch up with all of the deals floating around the Internet!

Consequently, today's post focuses on two things: (1) My favorite products of November (many of which are also a part of Cyber Week promotions) and (2) A beauty and style shopping guide that aims to make your online pursuits as smooth and productive as possible.

Kindly scroll on for my favorites in every major beauty category and a curated list of suggestions to help streamline your Cyber Week shopping experience...

  • *Natura Bisse The Cure Sheer Eye: A lightly tinted eye treatment that evens and brightens on contact, it makes an immediate difference on contact.
  • *111 Skin Rose Gold Radiance Booster: This illuminating elixir can be alone, under makeup or even mixed into your favorite base for the most brilliant incandescence.
  • *Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream: Still my daily skincare staple, the current Cyber Week promotion at Violet Grey gives excellent incentive to try this immensely hydrating formula (or to stock up).
  • *Victoria Beckham by Augustinus Bader Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer: Ever since attending the launch of the primer earlier this week with Victoria Beckham and Dr. Bader themselves (images HERE), I have been met with an onslaught of interest from BP readers, excited to find out how this formula performs. I've tested it for the past few days and am impressed by its moisturizing yet immediately absorbed texture and delicate glow. Brimming with active skincare benefits that deliver actual results, it balances the skin and makes it look lit-from-within...what else could one want?
  • *Jenny Patinkin Rose on Rose Face Roller Petite: Always within reach, this mini roller is a perfect companion for my bedside and handbag...I love how it increases blood flow and adds a little "lift"with each session.

Neck and body care.
// NECK and BODY CARE //
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Synactif Neck and Décolleté Cream: A rich ritual that expertly cares for the delicate neck and chest area, I've been reaching for this each night and love waking up to firmer, more hydrated skin.
  • *Necessaire The Body Serum: a drink of water for your limbs (I use it on my legs), this intensely hydrating serum looks and feels like a lightweight gel but performs like the richest of creams. So good.
  • *Orlane Intense Firming Cream: I have used this entire bottle of nourishing cream and will need to pick up a new one soon...lush and moisturizing, it truly makes skin feel its firmest, too.
  • *Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen Body Mylk (also available at Algenist for 30% off through 12/1): Now that the temperatures have dropped in Southern California, I cannot get enough of this lightweight cream that bathes skin in a collagen-enriched formula.

Foundation and concealer.

Swatches from L-R:
Bronzer, blush and highlight.
  • Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light: I have two of in my bathroom and one in my purse. Both get used daily, which is a testament to how vital this particular bronzer is in my routine.
  • *Sisley-Paris L'Orchidee Highlighting Blush: This blush enlivens the face with a radiant coral peach flush...I focus application on the apples of my cheeks and never regret including this in my overall look.
  • Dior Backstage Face and Body Glow: This liquid highlight is so versatile...the thin formula can be applied anywhere and the pearlescent glow it imparts is subtle yet effective.
  • *Lawless Lucid Skin Highlighter: Don't let the initial powder texture fool you, once applied it melts into the skin like a cream would...the slightly warm dewy glow it gives is stunning and it must be noted that the formula is unequivocally clean, too.
  • *Nude Envie Cream Highlighter in Golden: A tender gold champagne cream, this sophisticated highlighter from one of my favorite indie brands looks gorgeous on the high points of one's face.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Cream Blush in Perfect Peach: If I could have only one cream blush for all of life, it would be this gem from CdPB. The tender nude-meets-peach-meets-pink tone possesses a subtle luminosity that makes skin look bouncy and healthy. Try it and you'll see exactly what I mean.
  • Westman Atelier Superloaded Tinted Highlight in Peau de Soleil: I recently picked up this newest shade in the WA family; warm and slightly tan in tone (as if one spent a languid day in the sun) this could even double as a light contour/bronzer for light and medium skin tones.
  • Westman Atelier Superloaded Tinted Highlight in Peau de Peche: I am on compact #2 of this resplendent hue...gently gleaming with tones of peach and beige, this looks spectacular on the high points of one's face and I also like to blend a bit in the center of my forehead and chin for good measure. I am never without this unusually flattering formula (who knew a highlighter that has that much color payoff could still look subtle and demure?) and, if you like a glow visage as I do, implore you to try it if you haven't yet done so.

Luxury Central: My Top Clé de Peau Beauté Product Recommendations

Favorites from Clé de Peau Beauté
If you were to do a simple search of "Clé de Peau Beauté" on Beauty Professor, you would be met with an endless array of search results, featuring thoughts and swatches from the line dating back to 2012; in other words, the brand has been a personal favorite and, consequentially, a key content focus here for years!

The brand is synonymous with luxury but, infinitely more important, the products perform. I often purchase my CdPB at Nordstrom as the retailer carries the full product range online and in-store, and not a week goes by without a reader or follower asking me for suggestions on what CdPB to invest in first.

Today, I am excited to share my top Clé de Peau Beauté products--ranging from skincare and foundation to eyeshadow and lip color--with thorough thoughts and swatches galore.

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of my top picks in action as well as the Bottom Line...

Clé de Peau Beauté on heavy rotation.
// SKINCARE // I actively pursue hydrated, even skin and a radiant glow and these three hero products fulfill this objective beautifully.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté The Serum: A fabulous anti-aging formula that works well on its own in tandem with one's existing skincare routine, The Serum combats fine lines and wrinkles while brightening and firming with every application. It actually heightens the efficacy of subsequent skincare steps, making it a must in my daily routine.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Multi Repair Oil: Exceptionally hydrating yet lightweight and instant absorbed, this brilliant oil adds radiance to the skin while nourishing and calming; it's a perfect winter skincare staple and the LE Holiday 2019 bottle is a dream addition to one's vanity.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Enhancing Eye Contour Cream Extrême: My eye cream of choice for the last few months, this rich yet weightless formula smooths fine lines, brightens dark circles and firms and lifts the orbital area to help feign a sold 8-hours of sleep when I likely only got 4.  It's simply sublime!

// FOUNDATION // My four favorite foundations in the Clé de Peau family...each month, at least one CdPB foundation ranks amongst my top base choices and I hope the below breakdown of the formulas illuminates and clarifies the offerings!

  • Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cushion Foundation O30Lightweight and glowing, this cushion-based formula offers buildable light to medium coverage that wears all day.
  • Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream-to-Powder Foundation O40: When it comes to foundation, I am often partial to a cream just smooths out the skin so well, offering a blur effect that is a real-life soft focus filter. This formula offers medium to full coverage without feeing heavy.
  • The Foundation O40: Gloriously beautiful to look at and even better on the skin, this cream foundation is infused with effective skincare benefits that contribute to a naturally radiant visage...a dime-sized application banishes imperfections while simply making skin look--in short--like really good skin.
  • Radiant Foundation Stick Ocher: Though some may assume that this stick would offer the most opacity, I would actually deem it sheer to light coverage. The stick has a cooling effect that perfects one's canvas while adding a subtle glow.

// CONCEALER // Clé de Peau Beauté is famous for its concealer. I have used it for years and buffer between the rich traditional formula and the lightweight radiant formula, depending on my current eye needs.

  • Clé de Peau Beauté The Concealer in Almond:  Apply this gem conservatively because a little bit goes a very long way. I use a dampened sponge to seamlessly blend it into my lower orbital region and love that it resists creasing while keeping my eyes bright.
  • Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Corrector in Almond: In warmer weather, I adore this click brush for adding a luminous wash of concealer action...those who are wary of thicker versions will find great joy in this formula.

Face + Lips.
// FACE + LIPS //

  • Clé de Peau Beauté Bronzing Powder Duo #2: I am on my third compact of this split shade bronzer...the warm brown tone has little to no shimmer for a natural look that gently sculpts and adds dimension without the slightest intonation of orange.
  • Clé de Peau Beauté Luminizing Face Enhancer Almond: A stunning fusion of form and function, this breathtakingly beautiful highlighter features a gossamer veil of radiance that makes skin look lit-from-within. I focus application on the high points of my face, down the bridge of my nose and along my Cupid's bow for a subtly illuminated effect.
  • Clé de Peau Beauté Cream Blush #4 Perfect Peach: I am over the moon for this tender creamy blush that adds the most stunning flush on the cheeks. I use my ring finger to blend a bit on the apples of my cheeks for a fresh and bouncy look and am confident that this shade will look gorgeous on everyone!

Eyes and powder.

  • *Clé de Peau Beauté LE Draped in Velvet Eye Quad: I am smitten with this limited edition eye color quad, which contains creamy black, pearl white, vibrant pink and soft shimmering nude shades for an opulent eye that commands attention both day and night (worn at the end of this post).
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté LE Holiday 2019 Refining Pressed PowderThis cult-classic is translucent and ultra finely milled to complement a spectrum of skin tones. It sets makeup, matttifies and is fabulous for mid-day touchups, ultimately refining the skin for a poreless and porcelain countenance.

// LIPS SPOTLIGHT // My love of this particular lip color formula knows no bounds; boasting two different finishes and hydrating pigmentation, there are always at least three shades in my purse.

The *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Liquid Rouge Matte has a smooth and velvety texture that dries down to a multi-dimensional suede finish that is never dry or flat. Some of my favorite shade include the pink nude Cream Crush (worn in the images at the end of this post),  the perfect pink Touch of Blossom and the vibrant coral Nectar. I also like to apply this formula as a base and then top it with the *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Liquid Rouge Shine for even more impact.

The *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Liquid Rouge Shine has a glossy and reflective finish that bathes lips in light. As evidenced by the swatches below, each of the shades are opaque and creamy (read: no shimmer whatsoever) and wear flawlessly for hours on end. Some of my favorite shades include the peachy pink Sugar Jelly (worn in this post), the neutral nude Sepia and the rich violet Midnight Dew.

Style notes.
  • Leopard Midi Dress: Classic and timeless, I love good a midi dress and this leopard print version is brilliant...the neutral tone looks sophisticated yet effortless and the dress has pockets! I've also found other similar options HEREHERE and HERE).
  • Mephisto Lissandra Platform Wedge Sandal: Still on heavy rotation, still more comfortable than any sandal I've ever worn, this pair of shoes will transform your thoughts about wedges. Try them and you'll see what I mean.
