Golden Hour with Hourglass Ghost Palette, Victoria Beckham Beauty, Byredo and a Peek at Clé de Peau Beauté Holiday 2019

Shorter days await, but until Daylight Savings, I--or should I say the products featured in today's post--will bask in the excess of sunlight that remains.

Captured at the start of the golden hour, I am excited to share a LE holiday palette from Hourglass, a look at the chic Victoria Beckham Beauty Collection, some recent personal picks from Byredo and a glimpse at a key piece from the Clé de Peau Beauté Holiday 2019 releases.

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of everything in action...

Introducing the Hourglass Ghost Palette
Up first is the hauntingly beautiful Hourglass Ghost Palette. Rife with six finely milled powders to sculpt, flush and perfect the complexion, this mirrored wonder takes care of business in the most ethereal way. The shades are buildable, bendable and, due to the intensity of the lower row of powders, are sure to flatter a spectrum of skin tones.

Hues Include:
  • Dim Light: A slightly peachy finishing powder to brighten and even skin tone.
  • Diffused Light: A radiant yellow finishing powder to counteract darkness and blur imperfections.
  • Iridescent Strobe Light: A tender neutral champagne highlight that looks entirely at home on the high points of one's face.
  • Eternal Bronze Light (new): This true brown tan has more depth than the other Hourglass bronzers in my arsenal and I couldn't be happier (let the swatch speak for itself)! I use it to gently sculpt and while adding warmth and hope this particular hue will come in a single unit soon.
  • Iridescent Rose (new): Pigmented and beyond, this radiant rose blush instantly brightens the complexion while looking fresh and natural. I predict the blush devotees are going to go bananas for this one.
  • Sublime Flush (new): This is the blush of my dreams....this cool baby pink gives a natural "just pinched" look without looking pastel or chalky. When it coms to lighter peachy pinks, this is a challenging objective to achieve! Although all the shades work together masterfully and harmonious, I would buy the palette for this shade alone.

I love that I can build a full face in seconds and am especially appreciative of the rich bronzer and gleaming pink blush in the Hourglass Ghost Palette...both take one's face to the next level while still looking exceptionally natural. Gift one to yourself, gift one to someone you love...I daresay you won't regret it.

New additions to my collection from BYREDO.
Next, I wanted to show you some recent selections from the venerable BYREDO line. I have long been a fan of Mojave Ghost and Gypsy Water but after a recent visit to the BYREDO Pop Up at Nordstrom at the Grove earlier this month, I discovered the resplendence that is Bibliothèque.
  • *BYREDO Bibliothèque EDP: Emanating notes of peach, plum, peony, violet, leather, patchouli and vanilla, this gourmand juice nimbly walks the fine line between sweet, fruity, creamy and musky and, as an avid book lover, I am unavoidably transported to a library and the intoxicating scent of old tomes. More intense in sillage than both Mojave Ghost and Gypsy Water, this is my fall fragrance, indeed.
  • *BYREDO Bibliothèque Hair Perfume: To complement the EDP, I chose this on-the-go version to freshen up my hair in a coordinated fashion. This particular version seems to be sold out at most retailers but I found it and have linked it for you nonetheless!
  • *BYREDO Rose Rinse-Free Hand Wash: I also received the hand wash in Rose--think of it as perhaps the most luxurious anti-bacterial gel you'll ever use--which smells classically divine and, upon cleansing, leaves hands feeling soft and balanced.

Pieces from the Victoria Beckham Beauty Collection.
From the lacquered tortoise shell packaging to the clean, cruelty-free and high-performance formulas within, the brand new Victoria Beckham Beauty Collection is all sorts of magnificent. Much to my delight, I received a few key pieces from the launch including the:
  • *Smoky Eye Brick in Signature: As one would expect this lush swath of neutrals is every bit as sophisticated as Victoria Beckham herself. The palette contains a soft cream, tender peachy pink, burnished brown and slightly rosy deep taupe that work together to create the most understatedly beautiful eye. Neither categorically matte nor satin, the texture and finish is multidimensional for a fresh and rested look.
  • *Lid Lustre in Mink: Boasting color payoff galore, this creamy shadow in a universally flattering brown taupe glow walks the line between rich pigment and intense radiance. Because it's so concentrated, I simply use my finger to blend it onto my's undone beauty done right.
  • *Satin Kajal Liners in Black and Bronze: These liners are so soft; truly, they glide on like butter and stay put for hours. I've experiencing a minor addiction with the black liner on my lower waterline and love the opacity of the neutral, slightly golden bronze version (worn on my upper waterline in the images that follow), too.
Expertly executed and undeniably wearable, to say that I am impressed and taken with the Victoria Beckham Beauty Collection would be a massive understatement!

The rest of the face.
  • *Graydon Skincare Face Glow: I first discovered this fascinating primer at the Indie Beauty Expo and have since partnered with IBE to include it in my custom boutique. Equal parts moisturizer and glowing skin perfector, I love applying a pump of this clean and nourishing formula all over my face prior to foundation gives skin an "extra something" while extending the longevity of my base. So good! Don't forget to use the code Beautyprofessor20 for 20% off your order!
  • *Surratt Dew Drop Foundation #10 (reviewed HERE): I am still entirely smitten by this light-medium coverage foundation; it imparts a veil of color that banishes imperfections while simultaneously instilling a soft radiance.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté LE Lipstick for Holiday 2019 in Silk Passion: I have the entire holiday collection to show you soon (it's stunning, by the way) but couldn't help but preview the launch with this lustrous creamy pink lipstick. Neither too light nor too dark, this shade just may be the most perfect true pink I've encountered in ages...I'm wearing it without liner, straight from the bullet and it's timeless, I tell you!
  • La Mer The Lip Volumizer: Not new but new to me, I picked this up on a whim last week am so glad that I did. This nearly clear (with a tinge of pink) gloss is intensely moisturizing while bathing one's lips in a respectable amount of non-sticky shine that has a soft sweetness (the taste, my friends, was a total surprise). Applying it is a luxurious experience and I can't get over how healthy my lips look each and every time I use it.
  • *Sisley-Paris So Intense Volumizing Mascara: Two coats with the streamlined brush and my lashes are thick with sky high length.

Style notes.
// STYLE NOTES // Depending on what is worn on top--a denim shirt or a blazer--this green maxi dress can be dressed up or down with ease.
  • Green maxi dress: Captivated by the color, I bought this dress a few years back and only recently have recognized its versatility. I found additional similar style options HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
  • Oversized beige blazer: I adore a roomy blazer to offset a dress and the particular version handles the task effortlessly. Also, check out the vast selection of designer blazers that fit this description on The Real Real (I recently purchased a Burberry version and love it so much).
  • Chambray shirt (worn tied at waist in earlier images): I wear this shirt at least once a week as it fits like a dream and multitasks like nobody's business.
  • Black sock booties:  Comfortable and on-trend, I love the very reasonable heel (rare!) and the way the fabric hugs hugs my ankles without feeling restrictive.

Neutrals City: Laura Mercier La Palette Naturelle, Fresh Oribe, an Upcoming Complexion Multitasker from Chantecaille and My Favorite CdPB Lip Mix

Sometimes a palette comes along that is beautiful inside and out, and this beauty is furthered by its worthy cause. Such is the case for the *Laura Mercier La Palette Naturelle; 100% of the proceeds from the month of September will be donated to the Laura Mercier Ovarian Cancer Fund to research a cure.

Consequently, today's post features this brilliant palette, along with a fresh formula from Oribe, a soon-to-launch Chantecaille complexion stick and a recent go-to lip mix from Clé de Peau Beauté.

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well the Bottom Line...

Rife with wearable hues to highlight, bronze and blush the face, the *Laura Mercier La Palette Naturelle offers a fresh landscape of flatting shades that create a full face in seconds. I love using the soft bronze shade to gently sculpt and warm my face, adding a mix of the pinky blushes on the apples of my cheeks and sweeping a blend of the two darker highlighters on the high points of my face.

The powders are finely milled, sublimely smooth and buildable for a healthy and ethereal look that's completely customizable, making this a skin-blessing and heartwarming palette well worth the pursuit in the month of September!

Shades include:
  • Pale pearl highlight
  • Glowing bronze
  • Radiant golden champagne highlight
  • Matte neutral pink blush
  • Intense pale topaz highlight
  • Luminous peachy pink blush

Skincare + haircare etc.
// SKINCARE + HAIRCARE // A mix of new launches and tried and tested favorites that take self-care to the next level.
  • *Oribe Serene Scalp Exfoliating Scrub (also available at Neiman Marcus): This revolutionary formula deep cleans the scalp with exfoliating beads and a blend of alpha hydroxy acids that leaves my head and hair feeling insanely invigorated. I imagine that everyone could benefit from this new launch as it eradicates buildup in a single wash
  • *Oribe Run-Through Detangling Primer (also available at Neiman Marcus): Nothing detangles my thick and long hair as effortlessly as this formula; it pampers hair without weighing it down and I wish never to be without it.
  • *Oribe Flat Brush (also available at Neiman Marcus): New in my haircare, routine, this opulent brush is excellent for smoothing one's tresses while mitigating breakage and frizz. So good.
  • *Bastide Elixir II Nourishing Oil Face and Decollete: I have been thinking a lot about my skin from the neck down as I wasn't always as diligent with sunscreen as I am now and I feel like the skin at my chest/decollate needs extra reinforcements these days. This nourishing oil feels lightweight yet effective...a few drops go a very long way.
  • *Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream: I've been using this cream diligently for almost two pump day and night for bright, smooth and decadently plumped skin.
  • *Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Scented Hair Mist: A lightweight iteration of my favorite fragrance of life, I love misting this on second-day hair for a sensorial pick-me-up.
  • *Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water Cloths: I always have a pack of these gentle yet effective wipes within an arm's reach...the thermal waters masterfully cleanse without stripping skin. If you haven't yet tried them, I implore you to do so.

The complete look.
// THE COMPLETE LOOK // Heavy on the neutrals, this look works for any occasion and wears beautifully from day to night.
  • *Sisley-Paris Phyto Teint Ultra Eclat in Sand 2+ (reviewed HERE): I applied a single pump of this second skin foundation and blended it out with a dampened beauty sponge. The finish and lasting power are brilliantly formidable.
  • *Chantecaille Real Skin Sticks: I used a mix of shades #1 and #4 as an under eye concealer and used a touch of #9 as a light contour in the hollows of my cheeks and perimeters of my face. This shade trio is extremely versatile and I can't wait for this silky smooth and buildable formula to officially launch!
  • *Laura Mercier La Palette Naturelle: I applied the bronze tone over the areas that I contoured and blended a mix of the pinky blushes on the apples of my cheeks, finishing the face with a healthy dose of the golden pearl highlighter on the high points of my face.
  • Roen 75 Degree Warm Palette (reviewed HERE): I am still smitten with this fascinating eye palette, which features a quartet of radiant warm tones that can be applied with one's fingertips, making it one fo the most carefree eyeshadow formulas in my collection. The slightly wet finish does not compromise color payoff and I get 6-8 hours of crease-free wear.
  • *Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow in Rapture (reviewed HERE): I blended a bit of this cranberry gleam in the crease of my eyes for additional impact...I have been a devotee of this formula since its launch and still use multiple shades in the line up each week.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Liquid Rouge Matte in a mix of Cream Crush and Nectar (all shades swatched and reviewed HERE): This formula is cushiony and hydrating while imparting a velvety matte finish that makes lips look full and lush. I love adding a touch of the vibrant coral pink Nectar in the center of my lips and then going over it with the pinky nude Cream Crush...the result is neutral perfection.
  • *Sisley-Paris So Volume Mascara (reviewed HERE): Two coats for dramatically full and lengthened lashes.
