3 Things for Thursday: Natasha Denona Bloom Blush & Glow, Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel and My Shopbop Sale Shopping List

*Natasha Bloom Blush & Glow (also available at Beautylish
The title of this post is succinctly self explanatory...I have three things I can't wait to share and will lead off with the breathtakingly beautiful *Natasha Bloom Blush & Glow (also available at Beautylish), follow with the *Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Supermodel and close with a beauty look that also includes a thorough list of recommendations for the Shopbop Buy More, Save More Event (running now through 3/3/19).

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of products in action as well as my Shopbop shopping list and the Bottom Line...

A incandescent peach visage encases the *Natasha Bloom Blush & Glow (also available at Beautylish)
The *Natasha Bloom Blush & Glow (also available at Beautylish) is a radiant rouge lover's dream come true. Housed in a luminous lucite-inspired palette, the four shades--two cream, two powder--represent a color harmony of pleasing proportions in four distantly different finishes that can be layered and blended for flush, dimension and an undeniably ethereal effect that is the quintessential companion to spring.

Shade and Texture Descriptions (per my experience):
  • Glow Cream Base in Peach is a smooth and sheer peachy gold highlight that looks lovely on the high points of the face.
  • Cream Blush in Fuchsia is a insanely pigmented deep raspberry red with a subtle luminous finish...a little goes an extremely long way!
  • Glow Extreme in Light Rose is a glassy powder for a glossy, champagne finish on the face...this is wildly pretty and unusual.
  • Duo Glow in Vibrant and Golden Coral is a highlighting powder blush that takes glowing peachy pink to peerless levels,
Needless to say, I adore this palette; portable and secure, it can travel (in one's purse or a carry-on alike) with ease and every single shade is extremely flattering, delivering an incandescent and bouncy pinched-cheeks look that is equal parts natural and aspirational. I am certainly not alone in my accolades--simply read the reviews--and have no doubt that I will be reaching for this regularly (keep scrolling to see it on my face). Natasha Denona is a genius and I am thrilled this palette is her most recent brainchild!

The  *Natasha Bloom Blush & Glow (also available at Beautylish)has four distinct color and finish options.

Introducing the *Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Supermodel
I also am excited to offer an initial glimpse at the LE *Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Supermodel, an homage to the iconic beauties of the 1990s. Hydrating with a velvety finish that is exceptionally lightweight, this medium nude rose gem imparts plenty of color payoff while wearing effortlessly for hours. Even though it possesses more depth than I currently wear, I love the more intensified effect and find it pairs perfectly with the *Natasha Bloom Blush & Glow as illustrated below. There are two other new lipsticks in this latest launch--the tawny brown Super Nineties and nude rouge Super Sexy and I'll have swatch heavy profile of all three go live on BP soon...in the meanwhile, Supermodel is every bit as alluring (and worth it!) as it sounds.
A perfect pair: *Natasha Bloom Blush & Glow + *Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Supermodel

Narrowing down my Shopbop Buy More, Save More Shopping List.
// SHOPBOP SALE SHOPPING LIST // The Buy More, Save More event is in full swing, offering 15% off orders of $200+, 20% off orders of $500+ and 25% off orders of $800+ (applies to both full-price and sale items...ends 3/2/19 at 11:59PM). Here candidates for my shopping cart:
  • Veronica Beard Mena Top: I am having a moment with long sleeves as of late and this silky number with a dash of floral checks all of the boxes!
  • Frame Le Pegged Jeans: My love of Frame denim knows no end and I am intrigued by this tapered pair; they remind me of my favorite Le Originals which get wear in my routine every single week.
  • SENSO Nino Strappy Sandals: These low(ish) heels with black strappy styling will match everything...need them in my life.
  • Equipment Slim Signature Blouse in Natural: Not sure why the color scheme of this blouse is called Natural as it is a leopard of sorts...in any case, it's fabulous and needs to come home to my closet.
  • Moussy Vintage MV Magee Tapered Jeans: I am over the moon for my Moussy jeans (bought last fall) and am excited to bring more into the mix. Tip: size up for a relaxed and lived-in vibe.
  • Oliver Peoples The Row Board Meeting Sunglasses: I adore these warm-toned sunglasses...the shape, the color and--nerdy as it may sound--the fact that they have nose pads (I almost always need them to keep my sunnies in place).
  • Petite Bateau Bayure Shirt: Classic on every level, this is the kind of shirt that gets weekly wear without even trying.
  • Skin Karolina Robe in Honey: On sale and in the dreamiest neutral tone, this robe will be my springtime post-shower go-to.
  • Alala Skinny Sweatpants: Don't you notice that your "comfy pants" tend to get the most wear? As soon as I get home from work or meetings or events, I immediately change into one of my loungy pairs of pants and I think that it's time for me to add to my options.
  • See by Chloe Joyrider Backpack: I am calling this a diaper bag upgrade in my mind...it's a simple as that.
  • Rhodes Resort Ella Dress: The only dress in my list, I am smitten with easy flounce of this cut   (wear it with flat sandals or dress it up with black tights and heels) and the soft mint green is beyond, no?
  • Coclico Cooper Strappy Sandals: The Coclico brand is well represented in my closet and I am happy to add to the family. Comfortable and versatile with a fresh edge, this minimalist brand doesn't disappoint.
  • Rebecca Minkoff Bree Belt Bag in Honey: I've been a belt bag devotee for the past few months and this nude toned version is definitely in my color palette...I already own this model it in green, so I can readily attest its lightweight utility.
  • Tavik Swimwear Chase One Piece Swimsuit: A sleek maillot with a flattering low back cut...yes, please.
  • Hat Attack Beach Visor: The perfect relaxed straw visor for sun protection that still keeps your head cool.
  • Cloverpost 1971 Necklace: I am loving the classic vibe of this necklace, which feels like an intriguing flea market find at an incredible price point.

Foundation Files: Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Foundation + MAC Art Library and Velour Lip Powder

The impending spring months have brought us a wealth of fresh beauty and, consequently, I am excited to share some of my recent discoveries with you; today's post is dedicated to a brand new foundation launch, a gorgeous warm neutral eye palette, a covet-worthy cream blush collection and an innovative new lip color formula that will expand your conceptualization of traditional lipstick!

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line...

Introducing the *Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Radiance Perfecting Foundation (also available at Neiman Marcus)
So many of you have reached out to request a review of the *Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Radiance Perfecting Foundation (also available at Neiman Marcus) and I am happy to be able to oblige! Although still in the testing phase with more conclusions to come, my initial observations are as follows:
  • It is lightweight and buildable but offers immediate medium coverage in a single application
  • It has a subtle fragrance that dissipates upon contact
  • It makes my skin look extremely perfected and even while still appearing natural and fresh
  • It wears flawlessly (even in intense weather) for 8+ hours
  • I didn't need to set it with powder
  • It doesn't settle into fine lines and wrinkles
  • If your skin is free of dark spots, you may not even need concealer with it!
  • This formula is marvelous for those seeking medium-full coverage with a long-wear natural finish that leans towards radiant but never looks overtly glowy.
I've been applying it with the the *Laura Mercier Flawless Face Makeup Sponge for the most undetectable finish...it expertly buffs the product into the skin and leaves my canvas looking multidimensional and radiant.

In terms of shade matches, I was sent two hues--Bisque and Golden and found that Bisque is an apropos match for my NC 25 winter skin. I envision adding Golden to a pump of Bisque in the coming days when my skin gets a touch darker but overall, Bisque is my best current match.

Official details, courtesy of Nordstrom:

What it is: A radiance-perfecting finish with medium-to-full buildable coverage and a natural, luminous finish.
Who it's for: Suitable for those with dry, normal, combination or oily skin types.
What it does: This foundation helps combat dullness and reflect light so skin looks luminous in any light. Vitamin C helps to reveal brighter, clearer and more even skin tone over time so that even without makeup your skin is radiant. This foundation also helps to effectively plump skin to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while flexible polymers melt into the skin to create long-wearing, comfortable and weightless second-skin color. The look of imperfections are diffused and skin's texture is seamless.
How to use: Apply to clean skin with a makeup sponge. For best results, apply over your foundation primer.

// SKIN + HAIR // Two products are in the initial stages of testing, two are tried and true favorites!
  • *Sisleya L'Integral Anti-Age Anti-Wrinkle Concentrate Serum: This luxurious new launch includes a host of active botanical ingredients to combat slack and dull skin as well as fine lines and wrinkles. I am in the early stages of testing but after a few days of regular application have noticed firmer, clearer and more refined skin with a youthful glow. Will report back with additional findings next month!
  • *Guerlain L'Or Primer:  Also new to my routine, this primer smooths skin and extends the wear of makeup with a opulently fragrant formula that features a suspension of 24K gold flakes. So divine!
  • *Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: I use this regularly (especially on second day hair) to add fullness and texture to my naturally straight hair...I like to think of it as good hair in a bottle!
  • *Orlane Magnificent Lip Balm: I am on tube #3 of this beautiful lip balm; it is plush and hydrating and has just enough tack to seal moisture in place.
*MAC Art Library Flame-Boyant
For eyes, the limited-edition *MAC Art Library Flame-Boyant is a warm natural eye lover's dream come true! The resplendent palette holds twelve shades--from shimmering ivory to intense brick--in a variety of matte and radiant finishes. The color payoff of this particular array of tones is magnificent and, even after a long day of wear, the shadows look freshly-applied. If you are looking for a treasure trove of warm neutral hues in a single palette, I suspect that you will adore *MAC Art Library Flame-Boyant as I do.
Real life...this is what can happen when you shoot a beauty story while wearing a baby in a front facing carrier.

The *Ben Nye Creme Rouge Wheel in Natural Glow
For cheeks, I am complete smitten with the *Ben Nye Creme Rouge Wheel in Natural Glow. Designed in collaboration with make-up artist extraordinaire Benjamin Puckey, this cream palette features a brilliant mix of peaches, pinks and nudes that can be worn on cheeks, lips and even eyes. The lightweight, fragrance-free formula applies evenly and wears flawlessly for hours, resisting pooling and patchiness while imparting a bouncy radiance on one's complexion. To say this collection of shades is up my alley would be an epic understatement as these are my go-to colors on a daily basis and the fact that these tones can be mixed for a bespoke result make this color wheel a must in my current routine.

Finally, the *Laura Mercier Velour Lip Powder is a brilliant new launch that combines a plush and nourishing balm base with highly pigmented powders that bathe lips in rich color. The powders, which are exceptionally weightless and smooth, can be applied with one's fingertips (my favorite mode of application) and come in both velvet and pearl finishes that can be mixed for a custom effect.  New York contains lively papaya, bright fuchsia and burnt sienna shades and Paris (worn in the images at the end of this post) contains deep aubergine, radiant pearly mauve and electric pink shades. While all of the color offerings are stunningly pretty, I would buy Paris for the pearlescent mauve shade alone...it makes lips look lush and full and lasts for hours on end...no dryness in sight!
