First Look: The Estee Lauder by Violette La Dangereuse Collection Plus 5 Sales I’m Shopping

Introducing the *Estee Lauder by Violette La Dangereus Collection
I hope your December is going well! I am headed into finals week on campus and between grading and meetings and beauty content creation (not to mention spending tons of time with my beloved Johannah) and preparing for Christmas with plenty of shopping, each day this month seems to be flying by. That being said, I am thrilled to introduce a new launch that I’m confident you’ll love.
Ever since catching a fleeting glimpse on social media last month, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the official release of the *Estee Lauder by Violette La Dangereus Collection (also available at Estee LauderNeiman Marcus and Violet Grey) and am happy to report that it is finally available at some of my favorite retailers. Brimming with sultry and alluring yet incredibly wearable tones, this limited edition edit is simply stunning and well worth the pursuit!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the *Estee Lauder by Violette La Dangereus Collection as well as quick overview of five of the sales I’ve recently been shopping and the Bottom Line…

*La Dangereuse Pure Color Envy Sculpting Face Trio
Up first is the dreamy *La Dangereuse Pure Color Envy Sculpting Face Trio (also available at Estee Lauder, Neiman Marcus). With a soft pale tan hue, a radiant true pink blush tone and a luminous champagne bronze highlighter, this palette builds warmth, flush and dimension in seconds.

*La Dangereuse Eyeshadow Palette in Amour, Amour and Blue Dahlia (also available at Estee Lauder and Neiman Marcus
Perhaps the most breathtaking elements of the collection, the *La Dangereuse Eyeshadow Palette in Amour, Amour and Blue Dahlia (also available at Estee Lauder and Neiman Marcus) are not to be missed. With high color payoff and mix of satin and matte finishes, the shadows are buttery and blendable while wearing like a dream.
Amour, Amour is rife with warm rosy neutral tones that instantly take eye to the next level (needless to say, I adore this palette, worn at the end of this post) and those that prefer cooler hues will be smitten with Blue Dahlia, which expertly combines blues, greens and golds for a regal result that feels equal parts adventurous and accessible.
Both palettes are so well-executed and definitely define the collection…you won’t regret adding them to your makeup menagerie!

Additional La Dangereuse eye gems.
Also in the eye category are the:
  • *La Dangereuse Deluxe Eye Crayon in Sly & Sultry: Currently sold out at all but one retailer, this resplendent crayon imparts major pigment in a flattering warm pink nude that lasts all day without creasing or flaking. It can be worn as a single wash of color or as a compliment to powder formulas…get this if you can. It’s that good.

*Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Tawny 3W1
In the images that follow, I am wearing the iconic *Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Tawny 3W1. This buildable foundation can be customized from light to full coverage and dries down to a demi-matte skin finish with formidable lasting power. Have you tried this legend? Thoughts?

Style notes.
// STYLE NOTES // Velvet + denim +
  • Frame Burnout Velvet Blouse: I bought this blouse on a whim thinking I would wear it once or twice but have worn it much more than that! It can be dressed up or down (as in the images above and below) and feels fresh and unique in a sea of sameness.
  • Nike Air Max 270 Sneakers:  I wear these trainers constantly…not only are they wildly comfortable, but the neutral-focused color combination cannot be beat.
  • Longchamp Leather Belt Bag: This is what I’ve been toting my belongings around in lately…I think it has something to do with always having my hands full with Johannah. It’s about as chic and understated as a fanny pack can be!

// THE SALES // I’ve been doing my Christmas shopping in bits and pieces lately, focusing on the abundance of online sales that seem to be a constant in November and December. Some that I’ve been frequenting include:
  1. Nordstrom: For baby and kids clothes and makeup
  2. Neiman Marcus: For wild deals on designer shoes and endless extra 20% off options
  3. Saks: For up to 50% off designer everything
