A Clean Spring Glow: Dior Skincare and Beauty Favorites

Dior Beauty.
Springtime is synonymous with renewal...from the catharsis of plentiful rain showers (and the subsequent flowers that bloom) to deep cleaning one's house (I'm skipping it this time around since I just moved), it's a time to refresh and revitalize.

In honor of the season, today I am sharing some Dior Beauty products from Bloomingdales that are giving me a complexion reset and and a dash of glow!

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well the Bottom Line...

The Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age-Delay Illuminating Serum
To begin, the Dior Capture Youth Collection has arrived at Bloomingdales, offering a spectrum of formulas that target specific skin concerns with the chief objective of returning one's canvas to its brightest and bounciest former self. I am particularly compelled by the Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age-Delay Illuminating Serum.

Applying the Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age-Delay Illuminating Serum
Rich with actives like Vitamin C and alpha hydroxy acids, the Dior Capture Youth Collection has arrived at Bloomingdales encourages gentle cell turnover (with no irritation!) for firmer, brighter and more radiantly even skin. To reap the most tangible benefits, I apply the lightweight serum both day and night and deeply appreciate that it can be added into a cream (should extra moisture be desired) for even more versatility. Each morning, my skin appears restored and more luminous and I can't wait to continue to integrate this into my regular routine for more pronounced long-term results!

The dropper allows for precision when dispensing the formula.

An anti-fatigue weapon against dull complexions. This illuminating serum is a glow-booster to help restore radiance. Murunga Plum, known to be 100 times more concentrated in Vitamin C than oranges, combined with alpha hydroxy acid helps to brighten the complexion and smooth skin texture. Enriched with antioxidant-boosting** iris extract and composed of 80%* naturally-derived ingredients, this serum has a lightweight texture that offers a natural glow and energizes skin, helping it resist aggressions, such as stress, fatigue and jet lag.

Skin exfoliation +40% ***. After 4 weeks****, 100% of women saw more luminous and even complexions.

Apply the Glow Booster Serum daily before your cream for targeted treatment. For faster application, add 2 to 3 drops of the Glow Booster Serum to the Capture Youth creme and mix in the palm of your hand before applying.

*Values calculated on the basis of ISO standard 16128 part II and according to the raw ingredient data sent to date by Dior's suppliers.
    **In vitro test on ingredients.
***In vivo Clinical test, 10 women after 6 hours.
    ****Use test, 60 women.
Three steps to a fresh-faced canvas.
To create a fresh-faced canvas that lasts the entire day, I follow the Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age-Delay Illuminating Serum with a few drops of the ultra-pigmented Dior Diorskin Forever Undercover 24-Hour Full Coverage Foundation in 031 Sand (reviewed HERE). A little of this weightless formula goes a long way to even skin tone while resisting creasing and migration over the course of a long day.

Dior Diorblush Vibrant Color Powder Blush in 849 Mimi Bronze
Then, I use the brilliant Dior Diorblush Vibrant Color Powder Blush in 849 Mimi Bronze--which, incidentally, is the quintessential fusion of bronzer and blush--to gently sculpt and warm up my face while imparting a subtle flush.

Despite having well over 100 bronzers and blushes in my collection, I can confidently say that I have never encountered a powder that so effortlessly walks the line between the two categories...needless to say, it's been on heavy repeat as of late (and will also be making an appearance in an upcoming video).
A swatch of Dior Mimi Bronze in direct sunlight.

    Working on the eyes.
For eyes, I recently discovered the Dior Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow in 573 Mineral and 658 Cosmopolite. Both hues are a warm neutral-lover's dream, boasting satin and metallic finishes, respectively, that drench the eyes in saturated color. Mineral  is a soft camel meets bronze that blends like butter with creaseless performance. A healthy dose of the incandescent, slightly deeper taupe Cosmopolite blended in the crease towards the brow bone takes the look to the next-level. Together the duo is unmitigatedly effortless.

    The eye look.

I finished this clean and glowy, pared-down look with an ample dose of the x Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviving Balm in #101 Matte Pink. Hydrating and smoothing, this balm delivers a lovely dose of customized pink with an unexpected matte finish that makes lips look lush and full. Since picking this up in January, I wear this particular shade like crazy as it's the perfect insouciant pink to apply on the go!

Last look...don't forget to keep a pot of the Dior Creme Apricot near your bedside for the most moisturized cuticles in town!
    --Shop the Post--

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this overview of some of my current Dior Beauty favorites at Bloomies . The Dior Capture Youth Glow Booster Age-Delay Illuminating Serum is an excellent way to invite skin to glow from the inside out and I cannot get enough of the Dior Diorblush Vibrant Color Powder Blush in 849 Mimi Bronze (where have you been all my life?) and Dior Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow in 573 Mineral for a flattering wash of color.

What are some of your favorite Dior Beauty products? Do tell!

Good things ahead, including a chatty new video (going live this weekend!) and a foundation extravaganza...more soon,

Newness from 3 Brands I Adore: Recent Launches from Charlotte Tilbury, Marc Jacobs Shameless Foundation and Suqqu for Eyes

Springtime testing at Beauty Professor headquarters is in full force and today, I am excited to share some fresh releases from three of my favorite beauty brands: Charlotte Tilbury, Marc Jacobs Beauty and Suqqu, along with a full beauty look and some home and style elements I recently picked up.

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line...
    Charlotte Tilbury springtime releases.
Since its arrival stateside over three years ago, Charlotte Tilbury continually releases products that consistently find their way into my regular beauty rotation. Equal parts luxurious and wearable, these latest launches take one's complexion to the next-level, enveloping skin in a glowy and burnished veil that resonates with the warmer months ahead. Some key spring products I've been loving include:
    • *Charlotte Tilbury Brightening Youth Glow: This color-correcting primer possesses an incandescence that instantly blurs fine lines and imperfections while preparing the face for the foundation to come. Brimming with skincare benefits that help skin to look its brightest over time, this multi-tasker is an exquisite anti-aging step before anyone's foundation routine.
    • *Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Blush Glow: With a true tan bronzer on one side and a radiant pink blush on the other, this compact adeptly sculpts the face and finished the look with a youthful flush that looks lit-from-within. It's the quickest way to craft a super-flattering  face in mere seconds.
    • Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter #4 (also reviewed HERE): I have shared my sentiments on this intriguing hybrid product on multiple occasions since purchasing last month; the lightly tinted illuminating cream can serve as a primer, light foundation and/or highlighter, bathing the skin in light with a single stroke. I like to apply a bit before foundation and then focus application on the high points of my face following foundation for a ethereal glow. It perfects the skin like nothing I have ever tried before!
    • *Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Opium Noir: Much darker than my usual, I am still smitten with this vampy matte oxblood shade that immediately brightens the face and whitens the teeth. Creamy and lightweight with incredible pigmentation, this lip color allows for makeup minimalism everywhere else on the face...oh, and it's marvelously hydrating for a matte formula.

The *Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless Youthful-Look 24 Hour Foundation SPF 25
Next up, I've been experimenting with the *Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless Youthful-Look 24 Hour Foundation SPF 25 (also available at Sephora and Marc Jacobs Beauty) and *Foundation Brush #4 for the past month and am ready to weigh in with my experience.

Housed in an innovative and portable pod (tactile doesn't even begin to describe it), this foundation features buildable medium coverage with a natural matte finish that looks like real skin. The SPF 25 is encapsulated in pigment, virtually eliminating the risk of flashback in photographs and, although I haven't tested it for a full 24 hours (a girl has to sleep sometime!), the wear time is substantial (7-8 hours) nonetheless.

I find that 3-4 pea-sized drops give me the medium coverage that I desire; the foundation buffs away unevenness and imperfections, creating a fresh-faced canvas that wears evenly while lasting the day. The shade range is impressive and I have found my best match is Y370, a medium beige with true olive (rather than peachy) undertones.

All in all, this versatile fragrance-foundation is sure to be a hit with a spectrum of skin types and tones due to its coverage, wear time and shade's my favorite base formula in the Marc Jacobs Beauty family thus far!

Official details, courtesy of Neiman Marcus:

An innovative, medium buildable foundation with 24-hour longwear and first-to-market, flashback-free SPF 25 for a youthful look.

    How It Works:
Have it all with Shameless Youthful-Look 24-H Foundation. Inspired by Marc's very own shameless attitude, and his tattoo that serves as a daily reminder to never apologize for being you, this innovative foundation lets your best self show—all day long. It's clinically tested for 24-hour longwear and contains a first-to-market technology that encapsulates the SPF in pigment. This innovation makes the SPF visibly undetectable, resulting in no flashback in photos and no ashy grey undertones in the formula.

This oil-free, weightless foundation provides buildable medium coverage that blends seamlessly. A patented Infinity Milling™ process produces superfine pigments that result in the most natural-looking, self-setting finish. The broad shade range was developed with artists and models worldwide to fit all skin tones and skin types. The perfect level of coverage allows for flexibility across the shade range—go deeper or lighter depending on your desired look.

Shameless liquid foundation also beautifies from the inside out with skincare benefits, including phenomenal hydration. It contains Snow Mushroom, known for its impressive ability to hold onto water; it's like nature's dupe for hyaluronic acid. The formula also contains Blue Daisy Extract, known to alleviate the dulling effects of pollution. Together, they help your skin look hydrated, plumped and more youthful. Go ahead, show off your skin shamelessly.

*Suqqu Design Colour Eyeshadow #114 Hanaakari
Finally, I have been wearing a lot of the resplendent *Suqqu Design Colour Eyeshadow #114 Hanaakari. Radiantly endowed with a bronzy pink motif, this palette is a singularly beautiful take on  a rosy eye. Although it appears to be currently sold out at Selfridges and Harrods, I found some reasonable options on eBay, which will allow you to experience this limited-edition gem before it's gone for good!

The four shades--which are buttery with immense color payoff--in the palette include:
    • Iridescent pearl pink
    • Twinkling true pink with a gossamer finish...I have nothing like this shade in my entire collection
    • Light rose gold bronze
    • Rich matte brown

Easy to wear with stunning lasting power, this palette is an utter masterpiece.

    • Frame Le Skinny de Jeanne jeans: With a medium rise and a slim fit, these jeans are a true classic.
    • Blue velvet chair: I ordered this chair for our new house and couldn't be happier...the velvet slip cover is removable and washable and the mid-century styling features soft cushions and a swivel good and wildly affordable.
    • Shell dish: Mine is antique, but I found a couple similar options HERE and HERE

Foundation Files: The New Suqqu Nude Wear Liquid, Decorte Dip in Glow and Nude Lip Color I'm Loving as of Late

There is marvelous news on the foundation horizon! The new *Suqqu Nude Wear Liquid Foundation (currently only in stock online at Harrods) and *Blooming Glow Primer (also to be available at Harrods) will be launching on March 15th and I am excited share a preview of the revolutionary formulas in advance of their arrival.

In addition to the Suqqu swatches, I also can't wait to give you a glimpse at the *Decorte Dip and Glow Highlighter and I rounded up a few key nude lip color formulas that I've been reaching for frequently...from matte to glossy, there's an array of options to behold!

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line...

The *Suqqu Nude Wear Drops Foundation and *Blooming Glow Primer
Launching on 3/15, the *Suqqu Nude Wear Liquid Foundation (also available at Harrods) and *Blooming Glow Primer (also to be available at Harrods) are a power pair for fresh complexion that's perfected while appearing radiantly natural.

The soft baby pink *Suqqu Blooming Glow Primer blends onto skin, disappearing completely while leaving a brightening effect that makes the complexion look revived and healthy. It's excellent for breathing life into a dull complexion while providing a smoothing base for the foundation to come.

Innovative on every level, the *Suqqu Nude Wear Liquid Foundation offers buildable medium to full coverage that literally looks like nothing on the skin. Lightweight and breathable, the first time I applied a few drops (reflected in this picture HERE), I knew that this formula would have an immediate induction into my foundation rotation. My perfect match is #203 Warm Bisque, which is my match (for my @NC 25-27 skin) across all Suqqu foundation formulas and I am so impressed by the way it becomes one with my skin.

It must be noted that the bottle should be duly agitated before application (so that the suspended pigments are evenly distributed) and then only a single dropper full is necessary to cover the entire face. The foundation covers dark spots and imperfections and the finish is natural, taking on a subtle glow over time; I get 6-8 hours of wear time, even when I don't set it with powder.  Due to its liquid texture, one may be apt to compare it to the iconic Giorgio Armani Maestro Foundation (reviewed HERE) but I find that the *Suqqu Nude Wear Liquid Foundation yields significantly greater coverage and lasting power.

In terms of shades (depicted above and below), there are seven currently available, with hues ranging from pale ivory to deep tan skin (shade descriptions correspond with MAC foundation ranges):
    • 002 Cool Shell: @N/NC/NW 15
    • 003 Deep Cool Sand: @N 23-25
    • 004 Classic Tan: @N/NC/NW 35-42
    • 101 Natural Ivory: @N/NC/NW 10
    • 102 Natural Beige: @N/NC/NW 20
    • 202 Warm Nude: @N/NC 25
    • 203 Warm Bisque: @N/NC 25-27
Although 203 Warm Bisque is my current match, I may also want to try the slightly more neutral 003 Deep Cool Sand and 004 Classic Tan (love that this darker shade exists in the lineup!) to mix in as summer approaches and my skin deepens.

All in all, it is the *Suqqu Nude Wear Liquid Foundation is the liquid foundation of my dreams and I can't wait to continue to experiment with it in the days to come...if you love Suqqu and foundation in general as I do, it is a must-procure formula!

    • *Rodin Heavenly Hopp (reviewed HERE): A stunning rosy nude cream that's entirely effortless and fresh...if you haven't tried anything from the Rodin family, this is the shade with which to start.
    • Pat McGrath LuxeTrance Lipstick in Valetta (reviewed HERE): My favorite shade in the venerable Pat McGrath lineup, this peachy pink is extremely opaque and swipe and my lips are covered (and comfortable!) for hours.
    • Pat McGrath MatteTrance Lipstick in Peep Show: The newest lipstick in my collection, this is a matte version of Valetta...velvety and smooth, it makes lips look wildly full and plump. Adore this hue!
    • Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lipgloss in Tawny Pink (reviewed HERE): Still an all-star in my handbag, this creamy and opaque pinky nude is an unmitigated favorite...yes, it's touch sticky but that's what lends to its major lasting power.
    • *Suqqu Flawless Lip Gloss in Milk Tea Beige and Radiant Yellow (also available at Selfridges): These delightfully non-sticky glosses feel plush and cushiony on the lips, bathing them with a wash of sheer color. The sophisticated Milk Tea Beige is a true brown beige glaze and the luminous Radiant Yellow is a clear golden-flecked clear that makes lips look juicy and kissed with light.

    • Dove gray flannel: The pale tones of this flannel perfectly channel the transition from winter to spring, making it a fantastic layering piece.
    • Frame Le High Straight Stagger Jeans: High waisted with a clever hem, this pair can easily be dressed up or, in this case, dressed down.
    • Nike Air Huarache Sneakers...on sale (also available in black at Nordstrom): I've worn this ultra comfortable pair once or twice a week since getting them back in October and cannot recommend them enough...oh, and they are currently on sale!
