Viseart Tryst and a Cavalcade of Lip Color and Beauty on Heavy Rotation in February

February beauty on heavy rotation.
The month of February has been a bit of flash…from being back to lecturing in the classroom regularly to a seemingly never-ending set of boxes to unpack (still going!) I didn’t want to let any more time go by without sharing the resplendent *Viseart Tryst Palette as well as a host of other beauty (specifically, lip color galore) and skincare products that have been on heavy rotation this month.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in actin as well as the Bottom Line…

*Viseart Tryst Palette
Up first, the *Viseart Tryst Palette is a rosy neutral lover’s dream. Replete with nine shades, in both matte and satin finishes, this rose gold-encased edit effortlessly creates a myriad of looks in mere moments. The Viseart formula is exemplary…buttery and crease-resistant with noteworthy color payoff, the shades blend with little-to-no fallout and can even be applied wet for enhanced intensity.
Luxurious yet pragmatic, I appreciate the smaller, purse-friendly packaging and hope the brand continues to release other collections in this format…Tryst is truly a masterpiece.

Lawless Beauty recently released three new shades in the *Soft Matte Lip Color (other shades reviewed HERE). This ultra-clean formula has a creamy feel and hyper intense color payoff that envelopes lips and lasts for hours. The new shades–which I love to mix for a custom hue–include:
  • Parker: Cool pastel baby pink

Bursting with rich color and metallic allure, the *Kevyn Aucoin Molten Lip Color Gems bathe lips in a luminous wash of duo-chrome shine. Moisturizing, non-sticky and entirely intriguing, the new shades include:
  • Pink Crystal: Soft baby pink with gold and silver shifts
  • Fire Amber: Sun-kissed citron with a golden base
  • Violet Quartz: Cool heather grey mauve with violet undertones
  • Blue Amethyst: Lush purple with lilac shine
  • Poppy Topaz: Coral pink with golden undertones
  • Magenta Sapphire: Fuchsia pink with cool luminosity

*Jouer Long-Wear Lip Topper in Sweetheart
Finally, February wouldn’t be complete *Jouer Long-Wear Lip Topper in Sweetheart (other shades reviewed HERE); this raspberry red hue has marvelous color-payoff and a super shiny finish that looks just as incredible on its own as it does taking existing lip color to the next level.

Skin, face, fragrance and hair.
// SKIN, FACE, FRAGRANCE + HAIR //
  • *SK-II Facial Treatment Essence LE Lunar New Year Edition: Breathtakingly beautiful in matte red, this limited edition of the cult-classic formula for clarifying, toning, firming and brightening is a medicine cabinet must.
  • *Rodin Olio Lusso Geranium & Orange Blossom: I am entranced with this fragrant opulent beauty oil; excellent as a moisturizing base, it can also be used on hair, hands and nails for intense hydration.
  • *MustaeV Lustrous Cream Base (review HERE): This versatile base from the Korean skincare and beauty line MustaeV can be used as an all-over illuminator or mixed with foundation to increase incandescence and the opalescent hue works with a spectrum of skin tones.
  • *Ellis Faas Skin Veil Foundation 103.5: Worn in the images at the end of this post, this new shade is a perfect match for my NC 25-27 dead of winter skin. The velvety skin finish blurs imperfections while appearing virtually invisible and I get all-day lasting power with a single pump. Truly divine!
  • *Physician’s Formula Butter Highlighter in Iridescent: This creamy illuminator smells like coconut (!) and glides onto skin with a luminous, gossamer finish. The iridescence shifts pink and is gorgeous on the high points of the face and down the bridge of the nose.
  • *Estee Lauder Perfectionist Pro Wrinkle Filler: Just a tiny bit of this formula instantly banishes fine lines on the surface while encouraging the skin’s own production of collagen with regular use.
  • *MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ (reviewed HERE): The timeless clear formula works wonders to set makeup, simultaneously removing all signs of the dreaded powdery finish. I also like to use as a mid-day refresher and beauty blender sponge dampener.
  • Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 (reviewed HERE): My daily fragrance for nearly two years, I am at the end of this bottle…practically every time I wear it, someone asks me what my fragrance is. It’s simply that good.
  • *Rossano Ferretti Vita Shampoo: Boasting botanical actives including camellia and ginseng, this Italian-made shampoo cleanses without stripping, invigorating the scalp for hair with extra bounce.

// STYLE NOTES //
  • Ragdoll Tee in Army: I have exactly two of these super soft tees in the most perfect army green…once you try Ragdoll (luxe yet casual and they get better with every wash), you’ll have trouble going back to regular tee shirts!
  • Milan Sweatshirt: I bought this 90s-inspired sweatshirt on a whim and have been wearing it nonstop since then (it’s been cold at the beach!). I love the oversized vibe (I sized up to a medium) and the fact that it matches nearly everything.

    I've yet to try Viseart shadows, but I think I found the one that weakens my resistance.

    Almost, but not quite, totally overwhelmed by all the fabulous swatches. I am very interested in the Lipstick Queen lippies. I love her formulas! I don't have any Rodin oils and the Geranium Orange Blossom sounds like a heavenly scent. Must test it as it sounds fabulous. I have Kitten Karma and absolutely love it. I wear it to walk the dogs and on trips to the park. Why save something so fabulous for a night out?
