3 Things in Beauty: the YSL All Hours Foundation, Favorite Natural Makeup Discoveries + an Upcoming BP Event This Weekend!

I trust your long weekend was lovely! Mine was spent volunteering at a classic film festival in Hollywood (where are my classic cinema lovers?) and I hit the ground running today as I will be headed out of the country late next week (more on that soon!).
Today’s story is dedicated to three things in beauty…from a glorious new foundation formula that holds up well in transitional weather and some fresh clean makeup to a full on-location look and an upcoming Neiman Marcus event for Southern California locals, get ready for swatches and images galore.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…

Skin and nails.
// SKIN + NAILS //
  • *Sisley-Paris Sisleya L’Integral Anti-Age Eye & Lip Contour Cream and Ridoki Tool (also available at Neiman Marcus and reviewed HERE): The more I use this pair, the more I am enchanted by its efficacy. The cream works to plump fine lines and wrinkles in the orbital and mouth and, when combined with the genius Ridoki, the results are heightened by the benefits of targeted massage and lymphatic drainage. I have found this duo to be wildly addictive…highly recommended.
  • *Cuvee Hair Travel Set: Brimming with quality ingredients and none of the bad stuff (sulfate-free, paraben-free and cruelty-free), this travel set leaves my hair healthy, bouncy and, of course, clean!
  • *Dr. Dana Nail Color in Gayle and Quincy (also available at Dr. Dana Beauty): Another formula with impeccable ingredients, this nail lacquer contains absolutely no formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde resin, camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, paragons and triphenyl phosphate while still performing to the maximum degree.

Base + Face.
// BASE + FACE //
  • *YSL All Hours Foundation in BD 45 (also available Sephora and Blue Mercury and initially discussed HERE): I am still enchanted by this brand new foundation formula; boasting medium to full coverage with a natural matte finish that stays fresh looking for hours, this base is perfect for the oft-humid and warm seasonal transition. If you want creamy matte skin that stays flawless all day, then I urge you to give All Hours a try…keep reading to find your match!
  • Giorgio Armani Sun Fabric #600 (also available at Neiman Marcus and reviewed HERE): A true brown tan with a nearly matte finish, this bronzer is beautifully versatile for contouring and warming up the face.
  • *Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Iridescent Flash (reviewed HERE): Deeper than my usual pale peach or pink blush, this hue delivers serious life to the face…a pinch on the apples of my cheeks delivers a very natural flush.
  • *Maya Chia Highlight of the Day in After Hours: This stunning liquid highlighter is packed with skin-friendly ingredients and a delivers a luminous glow. The online buzz for this completely clean formula is ubiquitous and, after trying it on the high points of my face, I totally concur with the accolades.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Luminizing Face Enhancer in #13 Sand Beige (reviewed HERE): As delicate as a whisper, the subtle effects of this powder highlighter are stunning. My favorite place to apply include the bridge of my nose and Cupid’s bow.

Eyes and lips.
// EYES + LIPS //
  • *Gressa Eye Tint in Bronce and Envie: Gressa ranks amongst my very favorite green beauty brands on the market; rich with clean ingredients and stellar performance, this eye shadow can be applied sheerly for a light wash of color or built to maximum, crease-free opacity in a couple of coats. As the name implies, Bronce is a universally flattering warm bronzy brown and I punctuated the eye look below with a touch of the verdant Envie on the center of the lids. Fresh and sublime.
  • *By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Blonde Opal (reviewed HERE): Just a bit blended to my brow bone offers major incandescence that doesn’t budge.
  • *Sisley-Paris So Intense Mascara (reviewed HERE): Two coats for lush, long and voluminous lashes.
  • *Jouer High Pigment Lip Gloss in Sloane (reviewed HERE): I adore this plush peach nude tone…with exceptional color payoff and a reflective shine, this gloss takes lips to the next level in a single coat.
  • *La Prairie Cellular Luxe Lip Color in Rouge 30 (reviewed HERE): A buildable wash of rich rose-meets-aubergine, this gorgeous LE hue is the shade of the season.

    Really happy to see the Envie shadow from Gressa used in such a wearable way! I have been eyeing their shadows (pun intended!), as I am a big fan of their foundation, lip boosts, and liquid blushes, and though Envie certainly intrigued me, I wasn't sure I'd be able to incorporate such a bold color into enough looks to make it worth the purchase. I am going to give it a shot!
