First Look for Fall: The Natasha Denona Star Palette + New Hues of the Le Metier de Beaute Moisture Matte Lip Color

The *Natasha Denona Star Palette (also to be available at Sephora) launches on October 28th and I had the opportunity to preview it in advance of its official release.  Replete with 18 warm and cool eye shadows in creamy matte and seriously satin finishes, I predict that this limited-edition wonder will fly off the shelves come Friday!
In the interim, I am excited to share a host of swatches of the Star Palette as well as a glimpse at the stunning new shades of the *Le Metier de Beaute Moisture Matte Lip Color (formula previously reviewed HERE).  Hydrating and pigmented with a velvety finish, this lipstick is breathtaking!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…

As aforementioned, the LE *Natasha Denona Star Palette (also to be available at Sephora) launches on 10/28 and features 18 shades–nine warm and nine cool–with the intense color payoff and immense lasting power we’ve come to expect from the venerable Natasha Denona line.  Housed in a luminous platinum-meets-gold exterior, this palette offers the best of both worlds in terms of undertones and finish; with a vast range of wearable tones that boast sublime blendability, the possibilities are seemingly endless.
Warm side on the left, cool side on the right.
The following is a list of what I love most about the *Natasha Denona Star Palette (also to be available at Sephora):
  • The shades are wildly versatile and will flatter a spectrum of skin tones.
  • Remarkably, the warm and cool shades complement each other and, consequently, can be worn together (as I did in the look at the end of this story).
  • The nine matte hues are very creamy for nearly full opacity in a single pass and the nine pearl and shimmer shades are equally robust with major incandescence and minimal (if any) fallout.
  • The buttery formula has particularly strong color payoff; all Natasha Denona shadows are known for their pigment-rich nature and this palette’s range of shades is no exception.
  • The eyeshadow is super smooth and resists creasing over the course of wear.
  • Favorite shades in the palette include: Spectrum, Bellatrix, Orion, Atria, Diadem, Vega, Electra, Atik and Rhea.
  • The colors in this palette are probably all I’d ever need in life to create the array of bronzy, rosey, taupey, neutral looks towards which I gravitate.

Onto the swatches!

Meet the new shades of the *Le Metier de Beaute Moisture Matte Lip Color.
Additionally, this autumn season delivered new shades of the *Le Metier de Beaute Moisture Matte Lip Color (formula previously reviewed HERE).  This seemingly paradoxical creation delivers a wash of hydration to lips while veiling them in a color-rich cloak of velvety matte pigment that wears comfortably for hours.
I have used this formula regularly since its launch last year (La Vie En Rose and L’Ete Indien are favorites) and am thrilled that LMdB has integrated additional hues to the lineup. From cool, lilac-tinged nude (Bijox) to the deepest oxblood (The Clash), there is a, most definitely, a shade for everyone within this latest lip color launch!
The bullets are slender for precise application.
Shades include:
  • Bijox: Cool lilac-tinged nude  **My new favorite…worn in the images at the end of this post
  • Fervor: Rose beige nude
  • Fleur: Bright pinky peach
  • Jolie: Vibrant berry
  • Juxtapose: Purple thistle pink
  • Muse: Medium rosy nude…an excellent “my lips but better” shade
  • Redux: Rich wine
  • Riot!: Cool cherry red
  • The Clash: Deep oxblood
  • Dahlia (not pictured): Darkest blackened burgundy

  • *Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge Radiance Serum: I started with a single pump of this new skincare release from LMdB.  Long a fan of Peau Vierge (reviewed HERE), this serum is an incredible precursor to the tinted and illuminating formula.  I am impressed with the skincare benefits and the radiance it gives my skin before applying Peau Vierge is addictive, indeed.
Official details, courtesy of Neiman Marcus:
Peau Vierge Radiance Serum joins the iconic, Award Winning Peau Vierge family. This daily serum is the secret to young looking skin by refining its architecture, blurring the look of fine lines, enlarged pores and imperfections. Wear underneath Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Complex for a high concentrated youthful glow.

The Technology that powers the product:

  • TPM Technology® — Increases the absorption of key cosmecuetical ingredients into the skin, increasing therapeutic benefit, while reducing the redness, inflammation and irritation.
  • Epidermosil — Improves skin’s architecture, plumping the skin from within for firmer, suppler skin
  • Hibiscus Syriacus Leaf Cell Extract — Acts as cells-energy stimulator in order to improve the synthesis of collagen and elastin.
  • Licorice Extract — Evens skin tone.
  • Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12 and Ceramide Complex — Helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, for more youthful looking skin.
The *Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge Radiance Serum…a perfect primary companion to Peau Vierge.

Love the LMdB swatches too – you make it so easy to shop from the farm hills of North East CT!! I don't think I've picked a bad color based on your reviews yet!! Just bought LMdB foundation based on your swatches AND description (SO helpful, including the MAC equivalents). It is perfect!! (Do I *really* need another eye/cheek/ palette to hike w the dogs? OF COURSE I do (grin)
