Simple Arithmetic: 3 New Skincare Gems + a Matte Nude Lipstick = a Fresh Fall Look

Above: Three skincare discoveries.
I hope your weekend is going well!  Today’s post is dedicated to some delightful skincare discoveries  as well as a gorgeous nude lipstick, added in for good measure.  In sum, they comprise a fresh fall look!
Above: Skincare!
The 3 skincare gems are as follows:
(1) Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher: Designed to follow your skincare routine and precede makeup application, this fluid infuses the canvas with radiance while tightening skin, reducing pore visibility and sealing in the active properties of the skincare applied.  I love how balanced and toned my skin feels directly after application as well as over the course of the day!
Additional details:

  • Enriched with Locsamhyo™, an optimized complex of ginseng and green tea, this first-ever skincare finisher promotes natural luminosity and skin clarity all day long.
  • Designed to seal in all benefits of previously applied products while creating a perfect canvas for makeup application.
  • One bottle of Luminature Essential Finisher concentrates five roots of ginseng and the antioxidant benefits of 110 cups of green tea.

(2) Omorovicza Blue Diamond Eye Cream: The latest from Omorovicza, this eye cream harnesses the power of Silicum, Albizia (Mimosa) Bark Extract and Vitamin C to reduce darknessa and puffiness in the orbital region.  It hydrates beautifully while lifting and improving the overall contour of the eye area.  My sensitive eyes are not irritated by this cream, even when applied somewhat close to my lash line and I am consistently pleased with how bright and refreshed my eyes feel and look with this formula.  I’ve been using this cream alternately with the La Prairie Skin Caviar Eye Lift Cream…both are absolutely stellar.
Additional details:
Free from synthetic fragrance, colors and parabens, Omorovicza products are powered by a potent blend of Hungary’s mineral-rich healing waters and our patented Hydro Mineral Transference™ delivery system. This is combined with the finest vitamins, essential oils and natural ingredients sourced from across the globe.

Ingredients: qua (Hungarian Thermal Water), Glycerin, Aqua (Water), Ethylhexyldodecanol, Squalane, Methylsilanol Mannuronate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Stearyl Heptanoate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Phosphate, Arginine, Saccharomyces (Hungarian Thermal Water) Ferment Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract, Pullulan, Carbomer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Prunus Domestica Seed Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Methyl Glucoside Phosphate Proline Lysine Copper Complex, Tocopherol, Disodium EDTA, Tropaeolum Majus Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Parfum (Fragrance), Xanthan Gum, Copper Gluconate, Phospholipids, Sorbic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Darutoside, Acetyl Pentapeptide, Diamond, Silica, Linalool, Limonene, Geraniol.

(3) Tatcha Silken Pore Perfecting Sunscreen SPF 35: Gentle for sensitive skin, this velvety formula is extremely lightweight.  I am smitten by how well it blurs pores and serves as a gorgeously protective primer for the makeup that follows.  I haven’t experienced any flashback with this formula and it, paradoxially, keeps skin matte while allowing its natural glow to shine through.
Additional details:
Active Ingredients: Zinc Oxide 15%, Octisalate 5%
Inactive Ingredients:Water, Isododecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Propanediol, Hdi/trimethylol Hexyllactone Crosspolymer, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate, Behenyl Alcohol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Rosa Multiflora Fruit Extract, Eriobotrya Japonica Leaf Extract, Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate (Licorice Extract), Glycyrrhiza Inflata (Licorice) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Pistacia Lentiscus (Mastic) Gum, Sericin (Silk Extract), Algae Extract, Lecithin, Inositol (Rice Extract), Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Sorbitan Tristearate, Sodium Dilauramidoglutamide Lysine, Silica, Potassium Sorbate, Beheneth-20, Sodium Acrylate/Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Dimethylacrylamide Crosspolymer, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Titanium Dioxide, Methicone, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Dimethiconol, Disodium Edta, Iron Oxides (Ci77491), Tin Oxide, Mica, Fragrance (Natural), Ethylhexylglycerin, Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol.
Formulated without:
Mineral Oil, Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, Synthetic Colors, Synthetic Fragrances, Sulfate Detergents, Parabens, PEGs, PPGs, Urea, DEA, TEA or Phthalates.
Above: Swatches of all 3 skincare products in direct sunlight (unblended).  Note the slightly golden cast of the Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher…all three products blend to an invisible finish.
Above: Covetous Nude is a mid-toned peachy beige.
The second part of the equation is focused on the lips.  Creamy and opaque, Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Lip Color in Covetous Nude creates the quintessential warm nude beige pout in a single coat.
I am very impressed with the Pure Color Envy formula and this matte version is equally remarkable; its smooth and hydrating texture, coupled with significant color payoff are such to rival other high-end lipstick options on the market, namely Tom Ford.
One coat yields full coverage and I get 4-6 hours of comfortable, touch up-free wear.  Covetous Nude is light enough to craft a classic 1960’s beige lip while still possessing enough depth to avoid washing out the face…I suspect this would be a flattering shades on a spectrum of skintones!

I chose to compare Covetous Nude to two similarly-shaded matte lip colors:

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this 4 product overview…sometimes the simplest equations are the most brilliant! These releases from Sulwhasoo, OmoroviczaTatcha and Estee Lauder have performed their way into my routine, proving to be excellent options for balanced, protected and glowing skin and sophisticated nude beige lips.
Have YOU tried any of these new products?  Thoughts?
Good things ahead, including a beauty gadgets feature, a fresh daily 10-minute face FOTD and a host of new product procurements…have a blessed Sunday!

Like a lot of beautyphilles out there I have pared no expene in earch of the perfect nude lipstick, foundation, and skin care. I have recently found my HOLY GRAIL for a skin care routine and coudn't be happier. Just last year I was "all in" with Omorvicza. I adore this skin care line. I am 55 and blessed with relatively few wrinkles. I thought the Blue Diamond line would take me to the next level. (I had tried Chanel, Guerlain and La Prairie). My skin looked nice, but I really thought I wasn't getting the most out of it. ( The Blue diamond eye cream was not out yet). Although I have a lot of naturally radiance to my skin (those crazy SKII machines scored me 99% on that) I still felt the enlarged pores around my nose and the small millia in my eye area could be diminished with the right products. I have never been a candidate for retinols from the dermatologist, my skin has always been to sensitive and experianced a chemical burn. So I searched! This year, I have discovered a product line you are well versed with, and thanks to you I was familar with and reached out to learn more about. Le Metier de Beaute! MY SKIN LOOKS AMAZING. Millia has shrunk done to almost non existent I expect complete annihilation by the end of the year. My skin literally GLOWS! Pores size near the nose area soooo much smaller! Skin tone and texture uniform. Honestly, I don't need foundation. Thank you for all your posts on Le Metier de Beaute! I still will use the occasional mask, scrub or cleanser from Omorovicza or Zelens or Cellcosmet, but that's just because they are still lovely products and to mix thinks up a bit. The meat and potatoes of my routine does not vary with amazing results! Thank you Beauty Prof! ps will be interested on you thought on the new Omorovizca melting cleanser. . . .this looks amazing!

    Hi Rachel,
I was wondering if you could do a demo video on the TEMPTU foundation? I just want to make sure I can master it before investing in it. Thank you.

    Hi Lisa,
I was wondering what products from La Metier you are having good luck with, I am currently using Cellcosmet and Omorovicza as well?

Hello Sue, I love the Daily Renew Creme Cleanser for starters. It is soap free and has glycolic acid to start the exfoliation process (as well as other amazing things). I use their Day creme and their Night creme which are misnomers. They look like cremes but behave like serums. Their day creme has a .25% Retinol , and the night creme has .5% retinol. They have a patented system of delivery for the retinaol via a Vitamin E molecule for increased penetrance so you do not get red! These are treatments. You must moisturize over them. I use the Le Metier Replenishing Daily Solution for day because it has an spf of 40 and aloe and lots of other amazing stuff, and Omorovicza Rejuvenating night Creme. I have added over the last 6 weeks Verso eye serum (0.50% retinol with a similar delivery system) followed with Le Metier Eye Revive Concentrate. I LOVE the Chem Pro Peel and Glow Mask. Amazing stuff! I love using the scubs from both the Cellcosomet & Omorovicza line because they are simply amazing. Cellcosomet Gentle Purifing cleanser is great to keep in the tub and shower because you it takes off eye makeup (yes mascara and no eye burning). I also love Cle de peau eye makeup remover very gentle, efficient and no burning! The Le metier products are truly pharmaceutical grade and you can really see it in the results! Hope my journey is helpful to you!

Glad to see you like the new Omorovicza eye cream. I'm hoping to try it soon. I bought the travel size Tatcha sunscreen, and I'll be purchasing the full size when I run out of my Omorovicza and Zelens. God bless, Jaimie

    Darling BP,
I'd like to try the Sulwhasoo essence so I have a question with regards to order of application: so if I do my whole skin care routine (SKII) then I apply this before foundation? I'd like to get by Terry's face glow featured in another post of yours, should I apply the face glow after the essence? if so, do I skip Peau Vierge?
    Thanks <3

      Hello!!

If you were to integrate the Sulwhasoo, I would suggest the SK-II, then the Sulwhasoo, followed by the By Terry Face Glow and then Foundation (you could skip the PV on those days)!

      Hope that helps…xx

Hiii! Thank you for this post! Since you've tried some of the best eye creams how do you think the blue diamond compares to the two you've featured before from la prairie? I'm so curious since they are all pricey options
