Last Thursday, September 10th 2015, Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills hosted Project Beauty: Passport to Beauty. With the Neiman Marcus Beauty Event in full swing through 9/20 (more on my top 7 product recommendations towards the end of this post), this gorgeous evening couldn’t have come at a better time.  Brilliantly featuring a travel theme that invited guests to breezily navigate from counter to counter for up close and personal time with new products and brand experts, this innovative format was the perfect way to enjoy luxury skincare, cosmetics, small bites and fellow beauty lovers!
Kindly scroll on for an image-laden overview of the evening as well as my top 7 beauty and skincare recommendations for the Neiman Marcus Beauty Event…
Above: The evening started with the procurement of a boarding pass and passport; the boarding pass allowed attendees to know where they would begin and end their travels for the evening and stamps for each counter visit could be colleted on the passport.

As aforementioned, the Neiman Marcus Beauty Event is currently running now through 9/20/15.  With any cosmetics, skincare or fragrance purchase of $125 or more, you will receive a tote filled with a host of beauty samples from brands including Smith & Cult, Le Metier de Beaute, Oribe and Miu Miu!  Consequently, here are 7 product recommendations to consider:
  1. *La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer + Foundation (reviewed HERE)…I adore the reformulation of this foundation gold standard; the coverage is flawless and the lasting power is formidable.
  2. *Chantecaille Compact Soleil in St. Barths…a quintessential bronzer for fall and winter, this effortless tan shade adds just enough warmth for a healthy glow year round.
  3. *Laura Mercier Candleglow Lumizing Palette (swatched below)…a resplendent fall release, this palette features six powders to mimic the effects of soft and glowing lighting on the skin for an utterly beautiful result.
  4. Tom Ford A/W15 Runway Color (swatched below)…this little gem is finally mine!  The creamy (read: NOT shimmery) texture and saturated reddish brown pigment make sweeping it along the eyelids, cheeks and lips a monochromatic dream.  It’s so versatile and flattering that I am seriously contemplating securing a backup.  Full look with this cream forthcoming!
  5. *Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Rose Gold Accent (swatched below)…endlessly shiny and decidedly unsticky, this piece of the fall collection works well alone or over lipstick for a highly reflective, golden pink take on the classic nude lip.
  6. *Omorovicza Blue Diamond Eye Cream…I adore the Omorovicza line (especially the Blue Diamond Peel!) for its ingredients and efficacy and this latest release is no exception.  I am impressed by its ability to combat fine lines and undereye darkness and look forward to calibrating results over the next few weeks of usage.
  7. *Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Compact (reviewed HERE)…this ultra finely-milled formula mattifies and evens skintone without the slightest sign of a powdery finish.

The Tom Ford Runway Color looks like EXACT terracotta "spiced nude" shade I've been searching for – where has it been all my life?

Also, seeing the shot of some Creed fragrances, I hope Neiman Marcus eventually gives you some bottles of nice/fragrance-enthusiast scents like Creed Iris Tuberose or anything from Boadicea the Victorious!

Isn't it so amazing, TM? I find myself wearing it all the time…hope you were able to snap it up!

I haven't yet officially tried Creed outside of a sample but now I want to after your glowing endorsement!

      XO and talk soon,

Thanks so much, Carol! They are boys (size 5.5…I wear a 7 in womens) and I believe they can be purchased on the Nike website! I linked to them in the image!

I love that Tom Ford colour! I got it in the mail last week, and I couldn't be more pleased. I like to sweep it over my eyelids for an ultra-chic work-appropriate look. That La Prairie foundation has been catching my fancy. How would you describe the lasting power on it? Especially compared to the KS CP cream foundation?

      Hello dear MG!

Isn't it incredible? Such a non-shimmery, pigmented and blendable fall shade and I am glad you are loving it as I am! The LP foundation has definitely improved in terms of lasting power…I easily get 6-8 hours of touchup-free wear (on par with the KS) and it somehow feels lighter and more natural…so good. It is less dewy than the KS but still lovely as can be!

I hope all is well with you…catch up soon, my friend!

      XO,
