New EYES…New LIP: A Brief Overview of Burberry Glow Nude + Tom Ford Skinny Dip

While in Dallas for the past few days (more on that HERE and HERE), I managed to do a bit of shopping between meetings and appointments.  Although I exercised substantial restraint, I did happen to indulge in a duo of key products for EYES and LIPS.

Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
Above: A swatch of the Burberry Glow shadow in Nude in direct sunlight…silky, pigmented and radiant in a single pass.

For EYES, I snapped up the last remaining Burberry Wet & Dry Glow Eyeshadow in 002 Nude  (formula review + additional swatches of many shades  HERE) in stock at the gorgeous Northpark Center Nordstrom.  This radiant formula has a lovely netural taupe leaning that is buildable to nearly full opacity.  For me, it was love at first swatch… I knew it would be easy to wear and am pleased with the crease-free lasting power of this luxurious, finely-milled powder.  In the image below, I coupled it with the illustrious Surratt Beauty Relevee Mascara (reviewed HERE) for a clean, pared down look that is simultaneously casual and sophisticated.  If you love neutrals and are looking to try a shade from this newly-reformulated spectrum of options from Burberry, I implore you to consider 002 Nude…I suspect you will not regret it.

For LIPS, I embraced the Tom Ford Summer ’15 Lipstick in Skinny Dip.  The entire collection (swatched and to be revealed in a post later on this week) had just surfaced at Neiman Marcus at the Northpark Center and I couldn’t resist procuring this peachy wonder.  Although it is a sheer formula, the pigmentation is immense, thereby yielding a pop of color that instantly brightens the face.  I paired Skinny Dip with the pale, nude peach-meets-pink Marc Jacobs (P)Outliner in Honeybun (reviewed HERE and HERE) for an opaque, soft coral with tremendous luminosity and hydrating staying power.  Of the four lip color options in the TF Summer ’15 collection, Skinny Dip is by far my favorite!

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this succinct product overview…both the Burberry Wet & Dry Glow Eyeshadow in 002 Nude and the Tom Ford Summer ’15 Lipstick in Skinny Dip  are essentials for a neutral eye and lip look and I know they will prove to be staples in my makeup bag for months to come.
I am still in the midst of unpacking and responding to comments and emails but have some exciting posts on the horizon including more Tom Ford Summer 2015 picks, some new shoe profiles, a foundation closeup or two, a skincare update, a April (!) Favorites video and a round of new releases for lips and cheeks~

I love this look on you! I just bought the shadow and I am so in love with it! I need to check out if I can still get the Skinny dip next time I'm travelling since I can't get either Burberry or TM in my country. I only just bought the Nude Vanille lipstick (love it also) as well as this shadow at the airport I was going through from while travelling home on business.I can't get enough of Burberry and TM now!:)
