Above: Behold…the La Mer Reparative Skintint!
The La Mer Reparative Skintint (also available at Bergdorf Goodman and Barney’s NY) is utterly lovely.  In my initial experiences, the SPF 30 formula is:
  • Buildable for customizable light to medium, nearly full coverage
  • Very creamy, yet easily absorbed
  • Able to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines for nearly an airbrushed (yet natural) finish
  • Good for most skin tones in the light to medium-deep range…the undertones are neutral enough to blend well
  • Long lasting…I get nearly 8 hours of flawless wear
  • My most favorite La Mer product yet!
Shade Descriptions:
  • Very Fair: @N/NC/NW 10-15
  • Light: @N/NC/NW 20-23
  • Light-Medium: @N/NC/NW 25-27
  • Medium: @N/NC/NW 30-35
  • Tan: @N/NC/NW 37-42

Skin is immersed in the healing energies of our legendary Miracle Broth™, while potent marine ferments help even, smooth and repair the look of lines and wrinkles. To adequately showcase the resplendent performance of the La Mer Reparative Skintint, I created a bright yet casual look that features some of my latest product procurements on heavy rotation!

Products Used
  • *Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge #2 (reviewed HERE)…as an initial, non-negotiable, moisturizer/priming base.
  • *ReVive Fermatif Hand Renewal Cream SPF 15….a wildly hydrating formula, my typing and handwriting-fatigued hands feel truly transformed after a single application.
  • La Mer Restorative Skintint in Light-Medium…buffed on with a Beauty Blender, I am loving the medium coverage that sets within a minute and wears like a dream.
  • *Omorovicza Mineral Touch in Beige (swatched below)…this latest debut from the venerable Hungarian skincare line is simply stunning.  The silky formula can be used as a concealer or even a light base and the pigmented cream covers imperfections while still looking entirely natural.  I adore this.
  • *Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint in Very Charming (swatched below)…this all natural formula is light and buildable for softly flushed cheeks that look lit from within.  I’m impressed with its ingredients and versatility!
  • Napoleon Perdis Closeup Powder…coming soon, this completely invisible powder banishes shine while blurring pores and fine lines for confidence in extreme closeup situations.
  • *Napoleon Perdis Nude U Palette (reviewed HERE)…this set of neutrals offers limiteless possibilities and I embraced the first and forth shades on the top row for a light taupe lid with gleaming accents.
  • *Sania’s Brow Bar Brow Pencil in Medium (swatched below)…this retractable brow pencil yields creamy pigment that looks ever so natural and features a spooly on the other side…a wonderful pairing for brows on the go.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Perfect Lash Mascara (reviewed HERE)…two coats and this formula does not budge until I remove it.
  • *Kevyn Aucoin Matte Lip Color in Eternal (swatched below)…this bright, classic cherry shade can be blotted for a casual twist on the bold red pout.  The pigmentation is insane!
  • *Show Beauty Pure Treatment Oil…luxuriously scented and ultra hydrating, I apply this oil both on wet hair (to lend to managability) and dry hair (to add immediate shine).

Bottom Line: The La Mer Reparative Skintint is an incredible base option for those seeking buildable medium coverage with skincare benefits and a lasting finish.  I, for one, am delighted with the formula and anticipate it joining the ranks of my rotation in the months to come!
Good things ahead, including a beauty + skincare travel packing list, some new product procurements and even more foundation!  I am in Dallas this week for a digital publishers conference (more on that forthcoming) and am working on responding to email and comments as quickly as my schedule allows ; )
Hope your week is going well…the weekend is almost here!

Hi BP! How does the la mer reparative skin tint compare to the by terry cellularose moisturizing CC in terms of coverage? I bought the by terry but I find the coverage quite minimal!
    Thanks very much!!!

      Hi Sonia,

Thanks for your question; I find that the La Mer offers a bit more initial coverage (closer to medium) than the By Terry, though, with careful building, I can get both formulas to nearly full!

      I hope that helps…xx,

I love how the La Mer tint looks on the skin. However would you be able to list the ingredients so I know this before I make the purchase? Thank you! 🙂

More foundations to try! I would also love to know what the ingredients are in the La Mer Skintint 🙂
I picked up the Diorskin Nude BB Cream during the Sephora sale. Wore it today for a quick and easy no big deal FOTD when it stopped raining and we dashed out the door go for a walk. So far so good.
You are looking gorgeous as always. I know you love your nude lips, don't we all, but the pop of color on your lips is FABULOUS!

Hello, I would like to try Omorovicza Mineral Touch but I am not sure which shade to buy. Ivory seems to be very light and beige very peachy orange. I am currently wearing By Terry Cover Expert in 7 Vanilla. I am about MAC NC20. I gravitate towards yellowish tones in foundations, peach does not really suit me. Which shade would you advice me to use under the eyes? Thanks a lot!

      Hello,

Thanks for the question! I am NC 25 and can wear both shades, so I think that Ivory will be a great match, especially if you are looking to brighten the under eye area!

      Hope that helps…xx,

Thank you 🙂 Is the coverage good? I have really bad dark circles.

My pleasure! The coverage is light-medium so I would use an additional concealer for any dark circles but the formula should be a good start!

I love your blog! It's very informative and analytical. ( And I can totally understand this, as I myself am a member of the Greek Academia.) I have been wanting to try this skintint for so long and reading your review here just gave me one more reason to do so. Thank you so much.

      Hi,

I am doing research in Detection Seismology at the moment.

I got the skintint in very fair and it's perfect on my skin so far. They had a 30% discount and it wasn't really expensive. They are more reasonably priced in Greece.

I am obsessed with the layering skin care protocol so far. I was working in Tokyo last summer and it is a big trend there. I am using the Hyal Defence right on my skin (by Filorga, you should try it, it's heavenly) followed by the skintint.

Is the LA MER Reparative skin tint a matte, dewy, satin or velvet finish?
    Thxs for your kind reply!

      Hi Sarah,

I would deem this a natural satin matte finish…it isn't overly glowy or too matte…it just looks like really good skin ; )

    Hi,

I just ordered the Omorovicza concealer (both shades) and googling it, I found your blog; and I can only say that I really love it! Ambitious and so informative!

I have dry skin and dark circles and I think it's so hard to find a good concealer that doesn't crease and has good coverage. Do you have any suggestions of good concealers I could try? I have tried the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, Nars, Armani's corrector. None of them worked on my skin.

I would also love to know what you think of the Omorovicza concealer compared to the Cle de Peau one. Creasing, coverage and also the colours. (I live in Sweden and you can only buy the CdP over the internet from abroad. And since it's so expensive I have been hesitating.) They seem fairly similar. When you swatch them how do the colours compare?

    Thank you so much!

      Hello!

So glad you found your way to my blog…thanks for the kind words!

With regards to your question, I love the Cle de Peau Beaute concealer for good coverage and lasting power and also recommend the By Terry Densiliss Concealer as it is virtually crease-free.

The Cle de Peau concealers tend to run a bit more yellow in undertone (especially Ochre and Almond) and there are more options for darker skin. Just search for "cle de peau concealer" in the search bar on my blog and it should take you to my post where I have swatched all shade options in this formula!

      I hope that helps…XO,

I have the La Mer skin tint and it's incredible. I use it A LOT and it never seems to diminish. It's in a tube so hopefully won't expire as quickly as it might in a pot. I have definitely had it for more than a year!

Hi, I'm wondering now that they don't offer the Reparative Tint what you might offer in its replacement?
