Burberry Kisses: What’s Not to Love?

Above: Burberry Kisses make their debut.
I have already preliminarily mentioned the freshly-debuted *Burberry Kisses (HERE and HERE) and now am thrilled to offer an adoring overview of this gorgeous formula.  Available at Nordstrom, Burberry and Saks, Burberry Kisses comes in 28 color saturated shades ranging from the palest nude to the deepest oxblood; lipstick lovers are sure to find one (or 10) exceptional hues to make their own!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of Burberry Kisses in action as well as the Bottom Line…

The Burberry Kisses formula is fascinating…the texture is cushiony yet light and the buildability is unprecedented.  One coat offers silky, sheer coverage while two or three coats builds to full opacity for a pigmented, glowing (albeit, sans shimmer) finish that leaves lips simultaneously natural and perfected.

Intensely moisturizing, this lipstick performs like a balm while yielding stunning color for a delightful outcome.  I am beyond pleased with the fact that the Burberry Kisses formula does not possess fragrance of any kind; this is a massive improvement on the lovely, yet highly scented original lip color formulas in the Burberry line.  My perennially dry lips seem to love Burberry Kisses as they stay smooth and balanced over the course of wear!

In short, the Burberry Kisses formula is:
  • Buildable for maximum customization
  • Extremely hydrating
  • Color saturated
  • Slightly glossy, but with a smooth, creamy finish
  • Devoid of shimmer
  • Marvelously unscented
  • Kind to sensitive lips
  • An evenly wearing lip color…no patches or setting in lines
  • Expansive…28 shades to be exact
  • A beautiful addition to the iconic Burberry Beauty line…what’s not to love?

Burberry Kisses is effortlessly buildable lip color designed to give you multiple lip looks with just one shade. The weightless, gel-texture formula delivers a customizable makeup result—a single kiss of color gives understated luminosity while two or three give intense depth and vibrancy. A rich blend of satin-finish pigments and shiny polymers gives luminous color brilliance. The lipstick is enriched with the brand’s signature blend of tea, lavender and rose hip and it glides on with supreme comfort, offering six hours of continuous hydration.

Onto the closeup of Nude Beige, Nude Pink, Devon Sunset, Bright Coral, Claret Pink and Garnet

Above: #01 Nude Beige is a pale beige with just enough peach to bring life to the lips…it reminds me of something Catherine Deneuve might have worn in the 1960’s.

Above: #05 Nude Pink is a warm rosy beige for a muted, “my lips but better” feel.  This shade pairs well with every makeup look imaginable.

Above: #61 Devon Sunset is a creamy pink-tinged peach for a subtle pop of color…I love its ability to be both bright and restrained at the same time.

Bottom Line: The Burberry Kisses formula (available at NordstromBurberry and Saks) is simply divine…hydrating, pigmented, buildable and brilliant, the fact that this lip color is unscented merely adds to the bliss!  As an unapologetic nude lover, my tastes gravitate towards the peachy pink goodness of Nude Pink and Devon Sunset, although I enjoy the adventure of wearing the deep, mysterious, slightly-vampy Garnet as well ; )

Claret Pink and Garnet look so nice! I've seen Devon Sunset on a few bloggers and it seems like the perfect spring lip for the warm toned!

They all look stunning! Do you think Nude Beige or Nude Pink are similar to any of Tom Ford lipsticks? Or MAC lipsticks? I can't see them in person, as Burberry is not available where I live, and I need some reference before I buy some more shades (I've decided on Rose Pink so far) 🙂

      Hi Vine,

Many thanks to you! Strangely enough, there are not a lot of dupes/overlaps between the three lines. I will try to do a comparison between lines with similar shades soon!

I hope that will be helpful…xx,
