3 New Things in Beauty: A Succinct Overview

Above: 3 new products…clean, simple and classic.
I really should be going to bed but this Bachelor finale is three hours and so I thought I would share three recent procurements from a brief weekend shopping excursion! They are stunning in both their simplicity as well as their impressive performance:
(1) Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensée:  This rich vanille fragrance lacks all of the conventionally cloying sweetness associated with the scent; instead, it’s warm, smoky and slightly green, lending to a fresh yet mysterious effect that compels me to sniff my wrist with alarming regularity.  The purse sized atomizer is a marvelous way to intially experience this gorgeous, family-owned French perfume house.
(2) NAILS INC NailKale Illuminator: I saw a good friend’s application of this nail strengthener- meets-glowing finish earlier this week and was enchanted by the clean, slightly iridescent finish she achieved.  Consequently, I tracked this down at Sephora and couldn’t be happier; it adds just enough polish and dimension to look like you tried while still being a low-maintenance color for those of us who don’t have time, energy or desire to polish on a regular basis.  Divine!
(3) Lancome Le Duo in Buff (available at Nordstrom and Sephora): Ever entranced by multitasking products, this double-ended retractable crayon (brilliant for precise application) has contour and highlighter sides for a sculpted face in mere seconds.  I love how smooth and blendable the formula is and Buff’s dark tan and warm champagne pairing is excellent for light to medium skintones.

Above: The Lancome Le Duo in Buff has a creamy champagne highlighter on one side and a deep brown-meets-tan on the other for fuss-free and ever so precise application.
Above: Swatches of both sides of the Lancome Le Duo in Buff.
Above: Testing out the Lancome Le Duo in Buff.  More on this wonder forthcoming!

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this quick product overview…have you tried any of these gems? My intial experience confirms that the Atelier Cologne Vanille InsenséeNAILS INC NailKale Illuminator and Lancome Le Duo in Buff are definitely worth trying.
Good things ahead in this crazy, sleep-deprived Daylight Savings week, including a sunscreen feature, a Burberry Spring/Summer ’15 feature, even more new products and a foundation extravaganza!
Oh, and Jethro had his last checkup following surgery yesterday and his doctor confirmed that he has healed beautifully!  Next appointment…one year from today! Thank you, from our hearts, for all of your support over the last month.
xx,

After seeing Lisa Eldridge's tutorial using the Lancome contour duo, I've been thinking about a purchase. You've convinced me to give it a whirl. Have a lovely California day.

    Hello BP!
I am a bit overwhelmed with all the new contouring products that appeared recently. Do you think if, time and energy permits, you can do an overview of your favorites? I love to contour and highlight and was thinking about changing my good old timers but don't know what to get.
    have a lovely Tuesday!

      Hello!

I know…there is a plethora of contouring options these days and I feel a bit like I am drowning in them. What a way to go ; ) I love the idea of a contouring favorites post and will work on that ASAP.

Happy almost weekend…xx and talk soon,
