Lise Watier Spring 2015 Expression Collection…Modern Bohemian Elements

Above: Modern bohemian…the Lise Watier Spring 2015 Expression Collection.
The elegant Canadian Lise Watier line (also reviewed HERE) recently released their Spring 2015 Expression collection…muted watercolor hues and pops of pigment collectively create a timeless, modern bohemian look.  I coupled said look with an experimental hairstyle…this time, two fishtails, pinned a top my head for a twist on the casual up do!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the collection in action as well as an extra detailed Bottom Line…

Above: The brilliant Expression Palette.
The Expression Palette is at the center of the collection…this unique set of ultra-smooth pastels brightens the orbital area while also adding depth and a creative flair.  In the images at the end of the post, I applied the three lightest shades (on the left) to softly illuminate my eyes and prepare them for the eyeliner to come. The shades are tenderly pale, yet significantly pigmented with a creamy, slightly satin finish that wears for hours without creasing.
Above: Subtle yet pigmented.
Above: Swatches in direct sunlight.
Above: Behold…the Expression Blush Trio.
The Expression Blush Trio is a glowy, pastel confection of pale peaches and pinks that can be worn separately or blended together for a customized effect.  The powder is finely-milled and delicately pigmented (elements I invariably prefer in a blush) and the effect is simultaneously innocent and sophisticated.  So delightful for lighter blush lovers!

Above: The embossed top layer is reminiscent of an Expressionist-style floral painting.
Above: Swatches of all shade options in direct sunlight…the far left swatch is all three shades blended together…peachy pink at its best, no?
For extra luminosity and dimension, I applied the Ombre Souffle Supreme in Fairly Pink to the high places of my face (e.g., cheekbones and bridge of nose).  This cushiony opal pink eye shadow blends with a gossamar finish that stays illuminated without getting oily.
Above: A swatch of Fairly Pink in direct sunlight.
Above: The Multifunction Powder Brush.
I applied the blush with the Multifunction Powder Brush, a gloriously fanned confection with wonderfully soft bristles that deposit just the right amount of color.  In addition to being perfect for blush application, it can also be used for finishing powder, bronzer and highlighter with equal levels of adeptness.
Above: The fanned duo-toned brush is fancifully lovely, no?
Above: The Lise Watier Eye Expression, a luminous and gleaming warm grey option.
Above: The Gourmand Velour lip color in Expression.
To finish the Expression look, I applied the Gourmand Velour lip color in Expression, a vibrant fuchsia pink.  This particular formula yields entirely opaque coverage in a single coat and the semi-matte texture is bold without beinge the slightest bit drying.  This is the quintessential shade to pair with otherwise muted colors…it is magnifique, indeed.

Other products used in the images that follow:

Bottom Line: I love sharing lesser known beauty lines on Beauty Professor and although Lise Watier (also available at Naimie’s Beauty online and in Los Angeles) is wildly popular in Canada, it has only begun to gain the attention it deserves in the US.  The limited-edition Expression Collection is yet another lovely installment from a line that has yet to disappoint me…all the products are innovative, high-quality and perform inordinately well.

Good things ahead in the days to come, including:

Happy Valentine’s Day weekend…what are YOUR plans?  If you’re still looking for gift inspiration, do take a peek HERE.
