Merry Christmas + Boxing Day Recommendations

Above: Our official Christmas “card.”  I am wearing the Surratt Lipslique in Eglantine (reviewed HERE).
Dearest Beauty Professor Readers:
I hope your Christmas Day was all sorts of lovely, brimming over with friends and family and the joy of the season!  We celebrated with my family both on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and closed the evening with a screening of Into the Woods.  Steven Sondheim’s command of the English language never ceases to amaze me. What did you do?!  Now that we’re facing the plethora of sales that take us through the New Year, I am excited to share a modest collection of shopping suggestions, based on products by which I am currently enchanted.
Kindly scroll on for more details, images and major sale rundown as well as the Bottom Line…
Above: My first two “Lips & Boys”–the baby pink Flynn and soft coral Luca.
First up, after a nearly month long hiatus, the Tom Ford Lips & Boys limited edition lipsticks are now available at NordstromNeiman Marcus, Bloomindale’s and Bergdorf Goodman.  I am loving the four shades currently in my collection: Flynn (thoroughly reviewed HERE), Luca (reviewed HERE), Julian (reviewed HERE) and Collin.  Sabrina at The Beauty Look Book has a gorgeous array of swatches and, for those of you interested in closeups of the aformentioned four, I hope the subsequent swatches are helpful for those of you seeking to order these dainty gems!
Above: Luca and Flynn have a soft pearl shimmer and plenty of pigmentation…a combination that leaves the lip positively glowing!
Above: Applying Flynn…I must admit, I ordered a back up of this gorgeous light pink.
Above: The purple-meets-mauve Julian and the soft, warm rose Collin.
Above: Swatches of Collin and Julian in direct sunlight.
Above: Wearing Julian on Christmas Eve day (nothing like some last minute gift procurement) with my brother, Seth…PCH was utterly stunning.
Above: My lastest favorite physical sunscreen by Radical Skincare.
Next, if you are in the market for sunscreen, I must quickly recommend Radical Skincare Skin Perfecting Screen SPF 30 (available at Barney’s NY and Sephora).  This completely PHYSICAL sunscreen is ultra light with a glowing finish that evens and protects skin without creating flashback.  I am always in pursuit of non-chemical sunscreen options and am delighted to have discovered this treasure…full review soon!
Above: The full ingredients list.
Above: A swatch of the luminescent–yet highly effective–Radical Skin Perfecting Screen.
Above: The delicate pink + opal powders of the Clé de Peau Beauté Cheek Color Duo in #3.
If you are in the mood for a fresh take on blush, may I recommend the Clé de Peau Beauté Cheek Color Duo in #3, a soft peachy pink and luminous white highlighter combination for a completely ethereal visage.   I am smitten by the natural flush of the tender pink blush and the pearly white illuminator is invaluable for the high points of the face. This pairing is both chic and utilitarian and I look forward to featuring it in a future FOTD.

Above: A swatch of the Clé de Peau Beauté Cheek Color Duo in #3…Loren Stewart Itsy ID Bracelet + Cartier Love Bracelet ever in the background.
Above: The marvelous Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher…a last step to solidify all previous layers.
In terms of skincare, I have been experimenting with the Sulwhasoo Luminature Essential Finisher for the last couple of weeks.  This formula is intended to be the “last step” to seal in all previous layers of skincare while simultaneously increasing clarity and luminosity.  I have been using it right after my beloved Peau Vierge (swatched HERE) and am impressed by its ability to keep my skin balanced and comfortable while extending the wear of my makeup…intriguing, indeed.
Above: I cannot get over how much these Amaryllis flowers (gifted to us by our dear next door neighbor) resemble those of the Red Flower Limited Edition.
Above: The SK-II Red Flower Pitera Essence Set…a perfect foray into the wonders of the SK-II line.
Just in time for the winter season, SK-II has released a limited edition Red Flower Pitera Essence Set (also reviewed HERE).  This compact kit features the legendary Facial Treatment Essence (I use this daily and am so pleased with its effects on my skin…further reviewed HERE) as well as the refining Clear Lotion and a magical Facial Treatment Mask.  This set is an excellent option for those looking to try the very best from the wildly effective SK-II line.
Above: The Facial Treatment Essence also comes in a 7.3 oz bottle that features the LE floral design…gorgeous inside and out.
Above: The Chanel Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colour in #57 Darling Pink (swatched HERE)…finally a light shade in this formula!
If you haven’t yet explored the beauty of the Chanel Revarie Parissienne Spring 2015 Collection, I implore you, at minimum to take a peek at the limited edition lip color (also fully swatched and discussed HERE).  Currently available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks and Bloomindale’s, this lush collection features some of the prettiest pinks ever…standouts for me include the nude pink Rouge Double Intensite Ultra Wear Lip Colour in #57 Darling Pink and candy pink Rouge Allure in #154 Badine.  I highly suggest tracking these down before they sell out!
Above: New shades from Chanel, Girlactik and Tom Ford…oh my.
Above: Happy Shopping!  In this image, I am wearing the new Zelens Age Control Foundation in Beige (swatched and reviewed HERE) and cannot say enough good things about this gorgeous formula! I also have my eye on the Zelens Lip Enhancer and Lip Glaze.
Other magnificent deals I’ll be perusing online include:

I am working on responding to all of your lovely comments and emails over the next couple of days…thank you for being so supportive and communicative.
Good things ahead including a video tutorial of the illustrious Le Metier de Beaute Obsidian Odyssey Eye Kaleidoscope (reviewed HERE…I simply cannot stop wearing this!), December Favorites and Favorites of 2014!

Hi Rachel ! Merry Christmas & Happy Boxing Day! On your recommendation I purchased the Loren Stewart 4diamond baby bar Itsy necklace from Barneys New York. It is gorgeous and I am loving the Loren Stewart line of silver jewelry. The next time I go into the city I'll pick up the bracelet that matches. Love the one that you wear. I've paired it up with my Cartier love bracelet and it looks beautiful. Thanks for all your reviews. I love being introduced to new cosmetic lines. ️Blessings, Rosina?
