An Early Morning FOTD Featuring Tom Ford, Gucci and Charlotte Tilbury

Above: My FOTD at an ungodly hour of the morning, right before work ; ) #car #iphone #realife #workingwoman
I have been engaged in so much initial product description for my recent procurements from Gucci (discussed HERE and HERE) and felt it necessary to demonstrate how I am using the products in an early morning makeup routine that takes me less than 7 minutes.  These items are marvelous for an everyday look and perfect for the working woman who just wants to look her best!
PRODUCTS

Skincare:
Face:
Eyes:
  • Gucci Beauty Magnetic Eye Shadow Mono in Oxydus and Iconic Gold (initially discussed and swatched HERE), blended over the entire eyelid and swept under the lower lashes.
  • Lancome Grandiose Mascara (reviewed HERE)…two coats on upper and lower lashes.
  • Giorgio Armani Eye and Brow Maestro in #4 Amber (swatches and review HERE) to define the brows
Lips:
Above: Both Gucci shades on the lips…fast becoming a favorite.
**The whole look has been a staple for me for the past couple of days…it lasts for hours, even in warm, humid weather (as is unfortunately still the case in Southern CA!).

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this quick FOTD and would love to hear what makeup products you’ve been embracing as of late.  Although my official Gucci Beauty (available at Neiman Marcus and Gucci) reviews are still in the works, I can personally attest to the significant pigmentation of the eye shadow and lipstick…very impressed.  Also, the Charlotte Tilbury makeup (available at Net-a-Porter and Nordstrom) is definitely living up to its hype, becoming unmitigated “regulars” in my makeup bag!
By the way, if you live in Southern CA, the official Charlotte Tilbury Make-Up Your Destiny launch will take place at the Nordstrom at the Grove in LA on Friday 10/10 at 11:00 AM (with a chance to see and meet Charlotte!) and festivities will continue in the center of the Grove from Noon-8:00PM on Friday 10/10 and 11:00-8:00PM on Saturday 10/11.
Crowds are expected so don’t forget to RSVP should you decide to attend the Morning Show on Friday at: (323) 930-2230 EXT 1418 and let them know you heard about the event on Beauty Professor!
I will be there in the afternoon on Friday and hope our paths cross…so excited for the chance to explore everything in the Charlotte Tilbury line in a more personalized way…official details are below and clicking on the image will enlarge it ; )

Next up, the new Sisley foundation, fresh releases from Koh Gen Do, some natural lip color options and much more…xx,

Hello- I just want to tell you how much I enjoy your blog! I have a question for you, I have been on a hunt to purchase the Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Tinted Treatment based on your review, however all I can find is the black bottle, do you happen to know if they are discontinuing this?

      Hello Anon,

Thank you so much! With regards to your question, shades 2 and 3 of the Peau Vierge come in the black tube (2 ounces) and shade 1 comes in the silver bottle (one ounce) right now. I am not sure if they will return to the one ounce bottle in shades 2 and 3 but I know they were going through some packaging changes!

      Hope that helps…xx,

Hey there. I tried to comment earlier but I'm not sure if it went through. Recently I've been loving my Charlotte Tilbury Rock Chick palette–it's so amazing–paired with my new favorite lip color, YSL Beige Tribute (the perfect pinky nude; if you don't have this one you NEED it). You look awesome in this look!

I've been meaning to ask you if the new Gucci lipsticks taste like soap to you. Every other beauty blogger has mentioned the taste of the lipstick and said it's a deal breaker, which makes me nervous because I do love the colors. I've been stalking Magnolia Pink. Let me know your thoughts on the taste if you can! Xxx-Karen

      Hi Karen,

I am so glad you are loving the CT Rock Chick palette and no, I don't have Beige Tribute but will track it down this week ; ) Thanks for the recommendation!

I don't find the Gucci lipsticks to taste soapy…there is a specific sent/slight flavor but it doesn't bother me at all. The lasting power is magnificent and I am happy with both of my selections!

      Hope that helps…xx,

Hi B.P, you look amazing. I have a question..how much would u say your using of the wonder glow when u mix it in? I must be using too much cuz I feel it affects the longevity of my Foundation and breaks it down a bit. Thanks xo p.s. Got my Penelope pink b/c of your swatch. Loving it. A perfect match to child gloss from H.G

      Thank you so much, Lynn!

I add about the size of 2 little peas to my foundation and haven't had any issues with longevity or breakdown!

So glad you are loving Penelope Pink…it is a perfect nude and I am sure it is lovely on you with HG Child!

      xoxo and talk soon,

Oh my God…that skin…it looks divine!! I've also been playing around with combinations. My favorite is still the YSL Fusion Ink, Tom Ford, and Kanebo Sensai all in one. Foundations this year have truly been amazing. I'm actually irking to get my hands on the the D&G one. It's really catching my fancy. But I'm always skeptical of foundations that have skincare benefits. I find that the skincare benefits often hinder the performance of the actual foundation. Do you plan on giving it a try??

Wow, MG…thank you so very much!!

I love your foundation blend idea, too, and agree that foundations have been all sorts of incredible this fall. I just picked up the new D & G one and it's very, very good. The finish is clean and lovely and has good lasting power…review soon ; )

xoxo and have a lovely week,
