**UPDATE 8/27/14…the entire collection is now available at Neiman Marcus…take a peek while they still have everything in stock!

There is a thrill in something I prefer to call “guerrilla swatching.”  This act involves patiently stalking one’s intended prey (in this case, the hotly-anticipated Tom Ford Fall 2014 Color Collection) and, once located, taking as many images of said collection (and its accompanying swatches) as humanly possible.  The ultimate culmination of this process is that I get to share the pictures with you, dear readers.
I’ve already swatched all shades of the magnificent TF Traceless Perfecting Foundation (HERE) and the Concealing Pen (HERE…along with all images/descriptions from the official press kit); when I found out that the Tom Ford Fall 2014 Color Collection was having a one day preview at Saks 5th Avenue in NYC, I was crestfallen that I was both (1) on the wrong coast and (2) on vacation, thereby making this swatching experience unattainable.
Enter one dear friend and loyal BP reader, Lauren C., who graciously offered to swatch and take pictures of everything for the blog since she lives nearby…what a blessing; a sincere thanks goes out to her for her friendship, ingenuity and generosity of time and creativity. Below are the results of her afternoon with the breathtaking Tom Ford Fall 2014 Collection…enjoy!
Kindly scroll on for images of the entire Tom Ford Fall 2014 Color Collection as well as the Bottom Line…

Bottom Line: The Tom Ford Fall 2014 Color Collection is just as beautiful as anticipated.  The rich neutrals gently sculpt, enhance and highlight the skin, face and eyes with the luxurious grace one has grown to expect of products from the Tom Ford line.  While the new products from the Flawless Complexion Collection are currently available at Saks Fifth AvenueNeiman Marcus and Nordstrom, I’m told that the color collection should arrive to stores (also including Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdales) within the next two weeks.  I will be checking daily…how about you? Which products from the Tom Ford Collection have caught YOUR eye?

My vacation has come to an end and I will be back on my normal, slightly-accelerated summer posting schedule by Monday…I’ll also be able to better respond to your wonderful comments and emails.  So much to beauty to share, so little time!

If you had to choose orchid haze or nude dip? Do you find them similar?

I personally would choose Nude Dip, Beth…it is a bit more neutral and I love the Dark Orchid Kaleidoscope from Le Metier de Beaute to get my slightly purple fix ; )

I'm loving the two contouring cheek colors. I'm a huge fan of TF blushes. The eyeshadow quad looks pretty yet all four shades seem to have high shimmer. In any event, it's a beautiful collection. Thank you so much for such a special post.

      Hi Joanne,

This collection is stunning, no? I agree, the satin finish on the eyeshadow quad is border lining on high shimmer but I think it will translate beautifully on the eyes.

I so appreciate the kind feedback…xx,

Thanks for the swatches! I wanted the two blushes but not anymore (yay for saving money) after seeing your swatches, I would have loved them if the shades weren't so dark. Nude Dip looks beautiful though… damn.

I saw the collection at Bergdorf on Wednesday. The SA gave me a mini facial and did my make up with the new collection. The Nude Dip is very different from Orchid Haze (to answer Beth above). The shades in Orchid Haze have more purple/pinkish tones while Nude Dip is more neutral tones. I was worried about the shimmer too, but it is very soft and I think wearable for daytime when applied with a light hand. It's quite pretty. That being said, I do wish TF would make at least ONE more matte palette!! 🙂
There is also a new Nail Color – BLACK CHERRY – which is GORGEOUS!!! It's a very color that looks either red or black depending on the lighting. I cannot WAIT to have this!!
The Twist of Fate lip color is a bit more orange than it looks in these swatches. The orange doesn't really show up until applied on the lip, in the tube I detect very little orange. Negligee is similar to Indian Rose, but a tiny bit more plummy (but I wouldn't call it plum at all, if that makes sense). Very pretty and wearable.
For the cheek colors: I assumed Softcore would look better on me because I am VERY pale. Surprisingly, it looked terrible on me. Even the SA was appalled LOL Stroked looked really nice on my skin – I loved it. Because I'm so fair, I'll have to apply this with the correct brush (the TF blush brush lays down too much pigment on me for this particular shade)
I pre-paid for a couple of items and can't wait to be able to bring them home with me!

What a great friend you have. Thanks for providing the swatches. I really like Stroked, but would pick Softcore for a more natural look.

Agreed, Shiny…she is wonderful! So happy you enjoyed the swatches; at this present moment, I tend to lean towards Softcore as well, though SJ's assessment (above) has me thinking twice ; )

Great post and thank you for the swatches. The TF Fall collection is becoming a cult collection already. The blushes and especially Nude Dip quad should become permanent. The colors provide the effortless beauty to the user. The formulations are equally impressive. TF uses the best ingredients in the industry. I am glad finally a brand decided to use high quality ingredients, strong pigmentation without fillers. XO 🙂
