I've been waiting so long for the LMdB powder!! I'm so excited you reviewed it. I never even bothered looking up when it's coming out because I knew all I have to do is keep my eyes out on your blog and YouTube channel:).I've been using the Serge Lutens powder everyday on top of my Kanebo Sensai CP foundation (you basically dictated my makeup routine, Rachel!). However, as much as I love my routine, I feel like I could use a tad bit more oil control in my powder. I say that with a bit of trepidation because powders can make me look cakey very easily and the SL powder is the ONLY powder I've ever tried that doesn't make me look like I'm wearing so much makeup.(and I've tried everything from La Mer, NARS, Cle de Peau, and Guerlain). How would you compare this powder to the Serge Lutens one? Oh and most importantly for me, does it cause any flashback in flash photography?? (I'm getting married in a couple months and therefore a lot of photos are on the horizon for pre-wedding and post-wedding events.

      Hello MG!

You and me both, girl! I feel like I have been waiting years for this powder even though it's only been months ; ) I am beyond honored to have inspired your makeup routine, dear friend! I know what you mean about powders…the quest to find one that simultaneously controls oil and perfects the skin without looking like anything is insurmountable. Perhaps that is why I have run through so many ; ) The LMdB PV powder is pretty fantastic…good oil control and a blurring effect but it is very sheer (more so than the Serge Lutens) so it is good for great skin days and/or touchups. I am aiming to have a comprehensive review of the formula with swatches up in the next few days. The other mattifying powder I have been liking lately is the Guerlain Les Voilettes Pressed Powder (need to review this!) which gives a light as air matte finish. Finally, the Surratt Diaphane powder is quite good for mattification, but doesn't have a beige tint like the PV powder and the Guerlain version! None of these cause flashbacks for me!

So excited about your impending wedding…what a delight…xoxo and talk soon,

Hi BP!! Great vid. I love favorites videos 🙂
I'm also interested in hearing your thoughts on LMDB vs SL powder. I am looking for a very high quality powder for touch ups that won't look cakey or emphasize any flakes. I've also thought about the new rouge bunny rouge loose powder…
    Thanks again for fun video!

Thanks, SJ…so appreciate you watching it! I hope to have my full LMdB powder review with swatches up in the next couple of days and will make sure to contrast it with the SL powder since they are both in the top echelon of powders (along with the Surratt Diaphane). Haven't yet tried the RBR powder (but hope to)!

Hope your weekend is going well…xoxo and talk soon,
