Chantecaille Lips…Springtime Pinks That Are Always in Season

Above: Chantecaille pinks…Lip Chics in Primrose and Wildrose and Brilliant Gloss in Pretty.
I never need an excuse to embrace the lovely Chantecaille line or wear pink lips…both are favorites in my beauty routine.  That being said, I was excited to try three distinctly rosy Chantecaille lip products, utterly apropos for the warmer months to come.
Above: Chantecaille Brilliant gloss in Pretty.
First up, the Chantecaille Brilliant Gloss in Pretty…this hydrating  jelly pink with micro-shimmer makes the lips look juicy and full.  I love the non-sticky texture and lasting power as well; pigmented enough to be worn on its own, it is still delightfully less bright than it appears in the tube.

The official details according to Nordstrom:

Brilliant Gloss is a non-sticky lip gloss with vegetal-based cross-linked sugars that naturally and safely plump lips. An innovative system of elastic polymers and shiny emollient oil creates long-lasting wear. Enhanced with green tea to protect and calm lips.

Next is the gorgeous Lip Chic formula in Primrose and Wild Rose.  This innovative lip color-meets-gloss hybrid is highly moisturizing and deposits rich, sheer color while maintaining a semi-glossy finish.  I find that I get 3-4 hours of very comfortable wear before feeling the need to touch up.  It is scent-free, friendly to sensitive lips and entirely sophisticated.
The official details according to Nordstrom:

Lip Chic is a revolutionary hybrid that combines the rich, even coverage of a lipstick with the high-shine and plumping effects of a gloss. It goes on with an incredibly soft, lightweight texture as it helps to smooth and firm the lips. Added collagen gives lips a boost, leaving them fuller and decidedly more youthful in appearance, while never irritating.

Primrose is a beautiful glowing baby pink; its light yet pigmented and looks amazing on its own, especially with a subtle, smoky eye.  Because it has a cool-toned depth, even those who may be “pale pink phobic” will surely find contentment with this delicate shade.

Wild Rose is Primrose’s sassy older sister.  This vibrant bright rose coats lips in a lovely veil of flushed color that, albeit bolder, is completely wearable. Although I generally tend to shy away from from deeper lip color, I am comfortable embracing this particular shade when I am feeing a bit adventurous!

In sum, these radiance-drenched pinks from Chantecaille should not be missed.  While all in the same color family, the swatch above demonstrates how the variance in undertones makes these three undoubtedly distinct.  With springtime in our midst, shades like these compel our lips to be in full bloom!

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this festival of pink lip color from Chantecaille…I had a brilliant time showcasing these superb rosy hues, otherwise known as Pretty, Primrose and Wild Rose, and hope your springtime lip wardrobe is inspired by these shades.

xoxo,

I haven't had the opportunity to comment in a long time with my busy schedule, but I certainly have been reading each and every single one of your posts! I recently purchased the By Terry blush in Rose Melba and have been wearing it and adoring it on a daily basis:). It really brightens up my dull complexion, while maintaining a subtle and professional look. I simply adore these lipsticks on you! Although, I do believe these lipsticks look so fantastic because your lips are so well kept. I'm so jealous of how full and luscious they naturally are!

With my busy work schedule and my wedding on the horizon, I've been keeping an eye out for the perfect wedding day lipstick. I must check these out! Right now, the top contenders are the Tom Ford Pink Dusk and By Terry Terrybly in Flirty Rosy. Do you have any wedding day suggestions?? Something with a bit of a rosy hue to add that "blushing bride" effect?

      Hello MG!

Lovely to hear from you! Thank you for your loyal readership…trust me, I know how difficult commenting can be with a crazy busy schedule! I am thrilled to hear that you picked up Rose Melba…it's bright but wearable and doesn't travel into shimmer territory ; ) I am sure it is gorgeous on you!

You are too kind regarding my lips…I often battle with dry lips and do a lot of exfoliating and lip balm application (lately, By Terry Baume de Rose…love it) just to keep them from looking "peely!"

Your WEDDING…so very exciting…when? Where? Honeymoon? So many details I'm dying to know…email me ; )

In terms of lip color, I love TF Pink Dusk as an option. BT Flirty Rosy is lovely, too, but goes quite dark on me (but I oxidize everything). Other shades in this range are the GA Lip Maestro in #500 (I have a review on it!) and Le Metier de Beaute Amore (review on this one soon!). Both are natural, rosy (but muted), flushed shades!

xoxo and have a beautiful rest of the weekend…talk soon,
