Hi, I have noticed that the Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge is being discontinued. I have been looking to try it but can not find a place that still sells it, as well as I don't want to get hooked on a great product that will no longer be available. Do you know if Le Metier is replacing it with another comparable item?
    Thanks! Kristie

      Hello Kboo,

Thanks for the question. My gut reaction would be to say it is absolutely not being discontinued…especially since a larger 2 ounce size was recently released. That being said, it is getting difficult to track down online, so I have reached out to my dear friends at LMdB to get the final word. As soon as I receive the details, I will post back here.

I cannot imagine life without Peau Vierge and hope it's around forever!

Good news, Kristie…I heard back from LMdB Director of Color Mikey Castillo and he confirmed with me that Peau Vierge is NOT in any way being discontinued. The two ounce option is available at all LMdB retailers and the company is currently working on revamping their packaging for the one ounce bottle so that it performs better during travel. They should be solidifying packing for this size in the next few months and then it will be back in stock at all LMdB retailers. In the meanwhile, the two ounce is an excellent value and I am beyond glad to know that the product isn't going anywhere ; ) I couldn't live without it!

      Hope that helps…xoxo,

Thank you so much! When I inquired about purchasing it online, the store had told me it was being discontinued. It is very hard to find online. Can you post a link to online retailers?
      Thanks!

My pleasure…happy to deliver the good news! If you don't mind me asking, what store was it that told you that? Right now, there are plenty of the 2 ounce versions available at Neiman Marcus:

      http://www.neimanmarcus.com/Le-Metier-de-Beaute-Peau-Vierge-Anti-Aging-Complexe-2oz/prod164120008/p.prod?eVar4=You%20May%20Also%20Like

I also suggest calling the store directly to see if they have any one ounce bottles in stock…they can always process a phone order and send it to you. Scott Reyes at the Beverly Hills store LMdB counter is an excellent resource (310/550-5900…ask for Scott at the LMdB counter).

      I hope that helps…xoxo,

Hi Rachel. Excellent video; very informative and helpful. I have a couple of questions. I am a major serum junkie. I'm as addicted to serum as you are to foundation 🙂 I was wondering if you had ever done a video or post on just serums? My other questions is on the Koh Gen Do Spa Cleansing Water. I've been using it for several months and really love it. Like you, I use it in the morning for cleansing because I have dry (but not sensitive) skin and I'm trying to avoid over cleansing. You mentioned in this video how well it removes all kinds of makeup and I have not tried it for that. Somehow, I was under the impression that cleansing waters were formulated more for the "light" jobs and not so much for removing everything. As I watched your video I realized that you use several layers of products before makeup. So do I. Primers, sunscreen, and foundations seem to be the products that really want to hang on and stick to your skin. Did you imply in your video that the Koh Gen Do removes all of that without the need for additional cleansing? Or do you still have to follow up with a facial wash? I am really interested in your experience with that. I don't plan on substituting proper cleansing with just the Koh Gen Do but if it really removes everything, that could come in handy sometimes. Sorry for the long post and all the questions; this is an area that is of great interest to me. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

      Hello Deb!

Thank you ever so much! I haven't done a post or video dedicated specifically to serum yet but I love the idea and definitely have used enough to be able to weigh in…thanks for the suggestion. Also, I use Ivory soap in the shower each night to wash off the "day's face." Then, I use the KGD Spa Water in the morning to wash my face (which, aside from my serums and cremes, is basically bare). However, when I have to do a quick makeup change midday between afternoon and evening classes (which is more often than I prefer…at least 3 or 4 times a week since my schedule is so insane), I have cleansed with nothing but two pumps of the Spa Water on a cotton pad and it truly removes everything…it's incredible! I highly recommend it for said purpose!

I hope that helps…please keep in touch and do let me know your experience with this process…xoxo,

Loved the video as I noted on youtube!! 🙂 It's just so much fun to see other routines and get inspired. My skin is doing well with the basics, but as it is getting cooler and more dry outside here in SoCal, I am wondering if I need to add more moisture. I might have to whip out my sample of the Kanebo! I'm afraid to like it! Also, I was wondering what sunscreen you are using. I am having such a hard time finding one that doesn't negatively affect my foundation. That said, PLEASE tell me what your foundation routine is in the above photo! Your skin is positively glowing….I am sure all the amazing products you are using have a lot to do with that, but maybe I can fake it! 🙂 Oh, and a belated Happy Anniversary! Hope your celebration was wonderful! I have been with my husband for 7 years (married 3). It's amazing how fast it goes! Take great care! Shoshana

      Hello!

Thanks for your sweet comment here as well! I am glad to hear your skin is as fabulous as ever and agree with you…this drier, cooler weather is making my skin thirsty, too. The Kanebo CP Cream is just the ticket (though the cost is definitely substantial). Lately, when I put on sunscreen (which isn't always a mandatory step for me since I am mostly indoors in the fall/winter and my Peau Vierge has SPF as well), I use the Koh Gen Do UV Care Milk (SPF 30). It is by far my favorite! Thanks for your kind words about the picture…I am wearing Peau Vierge + my trusty Kanebo Sensai CP Cream Foundation in #22. It will likely be a "go to" for life ; )

Thank you for your anniversary sentiments…we had a lovely weekend at home. 7 years together for you and your husband…fantastic…you are right, it just flies by.

Have a beautiful weekend and talk soon, lovely!

Great video! Thanks to your past recommendation(s), I started using Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge and I LOVE it! It has really helped my skin. I now want to try the Kanebo Sensai Cellular Performance Wrinkle Repair Cream, I've been looking for a night time cream and I think this may be just the thing. Question: I received a sample of Kanebo Sensai Total Lip Treatment back during the Neiman Marcus beauty event. I've been using it nightly, hoping it would minimize those fine lines and smooth out my lips. It's ok, but before I commit to buying a full size, I am wondering if you have tried it and what you think of it and/or if you could recommend something else to help with wrinkled/rough lips?
    Thanks!

      Hello Laura,

Thank you! I am thrilled to hear that you are loving the LMdB Peau Vierge…it is such a special formula and the fact that it gives both immediate and long term results is divine. I highly recommend the Kanebo Sensai CP Wrinkle Repair Cream…pricy but effective (I ran through many samples before committing to buying the full size!). I have bought the KS lip treatment a couple of times over the years; I liked it when using it, but haven't been compelled to buy a full size lately. For me, it is hydrating, but I don't get a lot of other benefits from it. At night, I use either LipFusion XL, EnvyDerm Lip Plumper, the Fresh Lip Treatment or the Koh Gen Do Chiffon Lip Balm for excellent moisture and plumping, but I haven't found an advanced lip treatment for fine lines that I adore as of yet…will report back when I do!

      xoxo and talk soon,

Great post and I too love the KGD Cleansing H2O as well and use it every morning. My new HG is not sexy, status or pricey. It's Paula's Choice C-15 Super Booster. It can be used with any skin routine to boost the performance of any product. I currently use it with a retinal serum and in less than a week, can vouch for ultra-refined skin texture, diminished wrinkles, significant fading of a stubborn hyper-pigmentation spot, pore minimization around the crevices of my nose at the bargain price of $45 for a full size, sample size is currently 50% off: $9. I have dry mature sensitive skin, no reactions so far. The only down side is some people have said they experienced breakouts to this product so would definitely recommend a sample first. Excellent Customer service and return policies. For those of us on a budget, it's the bomb. By the way, do you have on any makeup in the bottom picture of your post? I think you look amazing, a great "ad" for your skincare routine for sure!

      Hello!

Here's something strange…I responded to your comment but apparently it didn't post. Glad I discovered the glitch! At any rate, thanks for sharing your current favorites. The KGD Spa Water can do no wrong, no?! I am glad to hear that the Paula's Choice is working for you…I am finding it to be a bit intriguing myself ; )

In the picture, I am wearing a bit of the Kanebo Sensai Cream Foundation in #22, a touch of bronzer and some mascara…that's it! Thanks for your super kind words…I've been trying to be as diligent as possible with my skincare habits these days!

xoxo and have a wonderful week ahead,

    HI Beauty Professor,
I just wanted to say I am a huge fan of your totally unrestrained and honest accounts of the products you try. I honestly have found no other resource as useful so thanks and it's wonderful. So…why am I writing? I am curious about your stance on vitamins and whether or not you take them and if so which ones–particularly as they relate to skin nail and hair care. Oh and BTW, LOVE the Amore Pacific CC compact and now just got the Armani Maestro compact and really enjoying that one too. Separately want to recommend RMS Beauty products created by the fabulous Rose Marie Swift. They are standout! The illuminator, lip/cheek color and unconcealor specifically are excellent.

      Hello!

Thank you so much for your completely encouraging comment…I truly embrace being honest for my readers…makeup and skincare can be expensive and I always want to respect that reality by giving the most candid feedback possible. With regards to your questions…yes, I do take vitamins (and have since I was born…my parents were very into health before it was fashionable and that has stuck with me!). In addition to my daily vitamins, for my skin, hair and nails, I take one Biotin everyday as well as a couple of Vitamin B Complex capsules (skin and hair) and a green tea pill (rich in antioxidants for the skin). I hope that helps and now you've inspired me to do a detailed vitamin supplement post in the near future ; )

Thrilled to hear you are loving the Amore Pacific CC compact (it is wonderful!) and appreciate you mentioning the RMS line…I have the three products you mention (and really enjoy them) and have been meaning to do a post on them for ages…thanks for the reminder!

Have a beautiful week ahead and talk soon…xoxo,

Thanks for the vitamin tips! I will keep coming back for more. As another big birthday approaches my stance continues to be maintenance versus "medical interference" and good skincare and cosmetics is playing a major role in this battle!

    Hey there,

    Oh yay a skincare post.

I have not tried any of the products you mentioned, but the KGD cleansing water sounds great and I would love to try that. You skin looks lovely to by the way so your products must be having the right effect.

I am a huge fan of Paula's Choice products and her books.
I have just bought her new Vitamin C booster serum, a toner and 2%BHA liquid.
I just love how her products have proven ingredients in them and the correct PH for exfoliation no over hyped so called miracle ingredient. Oh and they really seem to work as well which helps. The price is also pretty good.
I also recently found another great range of products from NCN skincare. The 2% trans retinol serum is divine.
I have also been making some of my own oil blends because so many of the ones currently on the market contain irritating plant and fragrant oils and the results are really great and so easy to make.
    Thanks for sharing your routine

I hope you are well and take care and talk soon

      Hello dear Julie!

Good to hear from you. Thank you so much for your kind compliment! Yes, I highly recommend the KGD Spa Water if you have the line near to you. I appreciate you sharing your Paula's Choice finds…she is definitely revered in the beauty industry and the fact that her products are reasonably priced is wonderful as well. I haven't heard of NCN but definitely will take a peek at the brand…also, love that you make your own oil blends…how industrious and creative!

I hope your week is off to a marvelous start and look forward to chatting soon…xoxo,
