Neiman Marcus Beauty Event: FOTD + OOTD Duo!

Above: Out the door to Neiman Marcus!
Yesterday marked my first event hosting experience with Neiman Marcus (for a sneak peek, check out the video my dear friend and beauty lover Monsiieur Alex made of the day, found HERE!)
Although I have an entire post in the works which will extensively cover the delightful nuances of the day, I thought I would preview said post with a quick FOTD and OOTD (outfit of the day).
Above: A close up of products on my face.

Products Include:

Outfit Details
  • BCBG Cira Woven Spike High Heel Sandal…edgy yet restrained enough for daytime donning, these sandals feature a stiletto heel that is low enough to feel comfortable for hours!  A brilliant gift from my husband ; )

Above: Somehow the spikes are understated enough to feel progressive yet subtle.
Above: The slope is kind to my arches.
Above: The heel measures in a 2 1/2 inches and my feet say thank you!
Bottom Line: Whenever the day is going to be long and involved (in this case, in all the best ways!), I opt to wear makeup and clothing that feel polished yet completely unfussy.  It’s wondrous how a simple shell, sleek pant and a killer pair of statement shoes can synergistically create a confident yet comfortable vibe!
I hope you enjoyed this tandem FOTD/OOTD post and am so excited to share a host of new products and discoveries with you in the coming weeks…after the NM Beauty Event recap, I’ve got Tom Ford Fall 2013 lip color, brand new Kaleidoscopes from Le Metier de Beaute and even a few novel foundation finds to discuss; all in all, good things appearing on the Beauty Professor horizon!
I hope you have a gorgeous weekend and thank you for your lovely readership, friendship and support…what’s new in your end of the world?
xoxo,
–The Beauty Professor

Rachel, I love everything. Your outfit is fabulous and of course your purse is the best. Love your makeup. I'm jealous that I don't live there, I'd have loved to seen you.

Hello Dear Friend & lover of all things beauty! 🙂 I'm so happy it's sunday & I'm catching up on your blog. What a great surprise to get the fotd & ootd. I wish I could've been there & know you will update us all on the day. You look fabulous. Your makeup looks as if it's been air-brushed. You don't see "makeup", just great skin and glowing cheeks. I'm so glad you splurged on the Sensai cream. It is truly amazing. Your outfit, what can I say. The best version of elegant & edgy I've seen in a while. You always manage to combine both in the best way. What a great present from the hubby! As far as what's new for me, I actually took advantage of Nordstrom's triple bonus points these next couple days. I ordered some clothes on line & cool wedge sneakers. It's gettn a bit fallish here with temps in the mid 60's so I'm excited for the clothes. Surprisingly I ordered no beauty products but because of the free shipping & bonus points I may go back online & order some makeup. Have a great week & looking forward to talking. xoxo

Hello dear Lynn!! So wonderful to hear from you! Thank you for your sweet words…your support and encouragement is such a blessing! The Sensai cream was a splurge indeed, but after testing it for months, I am confident in its ability to work wonders with my skin.

Hooray for Nordstrom triple points; I did a little damage there this past weekend…mostly clothes as well ; ) The only makeup I picked up was an Armani Eyes to Kill Excess Mascara and Armani Maestro lip in #500…so velvety! Ahh…how I envy your fall weather. I thought that briskness was in the air, but today the heat came back and it was over 90 degrees…sweltering! I would like to not sweat for a bit!

I hope your week is going well thus far and look forward to talking soon…xoxo,
