Kanebo Sensai Skincare Routine Update…

Above: All four Kanebo Sensai skincare products in my daily routine.

For the past few months, I’ve been diligently running through my sample sizes of the Kanebo Sensai skincare I received and, thus far, couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

Each morning and night, I apply:

  • The Prime Solution, which revitalizes the skin and prepares it for the products to come next, is a thin, hydrating base that heightens the efficacy of subsequent creams.
  • The Cellular Performance Wrinkle Repair Essence has a serum texture to help smooth skin and combat aging.
  • The Cellular Performance Wrinkle Repair Cream is thick and rich, yet easily absorbed into the skin.  Above all four products, this is my one “not to miss” step…a pearl-sized dollop of the cream instantly hydrates, smooths and balances my skin, making it adequately ready for makeup application.  Additionally, the softness this cream imparts in my skin is unparalleled!
  • The Cellular Performance Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream is a hint thinner in texture than the face cream of the same name; the lighter constitution allows me to apply it to my entire orbital area with assurance that it will be absorbed quickly.  The fine lines around my eyes have greatly diminished with regular usage of this cream and skin around my eyes looks and feels nourished, brighter and more lifted.
Above: Ingredients for the Cellular Performance Wrinkle Repair Cream (I couldn’t find a digital version online!)

Above: A completely candid, un-retouched image to illustrate the powers of Kanebo Sensai  skin care ; )

Bottom Line: The inherent luxury and efficacy of the Kanebo Sensai skincare line is undeniable.  That being said, it is also quite expensive.  In turn, I am finding that I can further pare down my routine from the four products mentioned above to three necessary elixirs…the Prime Solution, Cellular Performance Wrinkle Repair Cream and Cellular Performance Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream.  With consistent use, my skin is clearer, softer, balanced, smoother and more even with an all over glow.  Although this trifecta is still quite an investment, the fact that I know they work well with my skin makes this curated selection invaluable.

Have YOU tried Kanebo Sensai skincare?  Thoughts?
I hope the official start of your week is off to a marvelous start…xoxo,

Hi B.P! I too have been using the above products along with the cleansing oil and foaming cleanser as step 1 & 2. I too have found the results amazing. Although the routine has steps 1-6, which Kimmie labeled for me, I sometimes skip the cleansing oil. The glow & hydration in my skin is unbelievable. The wrinkle repair cream is rich as you described, but absorbs beautifully. I always said I would'nt mind the cost of skincare as long as it works & these products deliver. I too would pair it down to what u said to. my under eye area fine lines have diminished greatly! I put away everything else to make sure I would only be using the kanebo & it's definitley going to be hard when im out to return to the others. I will most likely purchase as I see alittle goes a long, long way.

      Hello Lynn,

I hope your week is off to a wonderful start! I am so glad that you have been experiencing the same positive results with the Kanebo Sensai skincare…I honestly wasn't expecting such a fabulous outcome for myself but couldn't be happier. If I had to, I would just get the face cream and eye cream and be set forever!

      xoxo and talk soon,

Hi B.P, hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend with your brother and I'm wishing I could be there to say hello and see the beautiful craftmenship of his bags. I agree & think I will pare down to the Kanebo face cream & eye cream & that should be sufficient. I had my client at the salon try the Kanebo foundation & she is hooked. She will have me order it for her as soon as she sees that it does'nt cause any breakouts. She too is extremely sensitive & I hope it does'nt cause any problems. I will contact Kimmie for her. Ok I'm off to Nordstrom & you are in my thoughts & I'm with u in spirit! 🙂 at the arts & craft fair. xoxo

      Hello Lynn!

Yes! The weekend was so fantastic…we had beautiful weather and he had a fantastically steady flow of business both days. I wish you could have transported yourself to SoCal to visit! How exciting that your client is loving the Kanebo foundation…it is such gorgeous formula and has been nothing but kind to my hypersensitive skin. I hope your trip to Nordstrom was delightful (any exciting purchases?!) and so appreciate your well wishes for the arts fair, dear friend.

    Dearest B.P,

Thanks for the review, I have being enjoying using the Kenebo Sensai Cellular cream foundation and I was wondering about whether their skin care was also a worthy investment given the luxuriant price tag. For me there is additional shipping costs to consider so it is not a decision that I want to make lightly! Your thoughts on which products are most valuable will certainly help in deciding which products to consider for next time.

On a different note, I recently purchased the Charlotte Tilbury magic cream, lipstick in Bitch Perfect (unusual name) and her blush brush to get a feel for the quality and caliber of the brand. Although I haven't received them yet (they're being delivered through a 3rd party company), I am very excited to trial these products and will keep you posted on my thoughts!

    I have also recently purchased:
-By Terry Blackstar in Blond Opal 3 (gorgeous for everyday as unfortunately I can't wear a lot of colour on my eyes for work),
-Hourglass Ambient brush (this looks perfect for contouring under the cheekbone and highlighting on top of the cheekbone and
-Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip cleanser. We will see how this goes.
Unfortunately I have had to stop using the K.A Sensual Skin Enhancer as I hypothesis that the heavy fragrance was causing my sensitive skin to become extremely itchy, raised and irritated. It has definitely calmed down since I have stopped using it.

I hope that you have a beautiful week xoxoxxoxo

      Hello Karen!

Happy to share it! I am in no way exaggerating when I say that the KS skincare is definitely on par with the glorious KS foundation!

Thanks for sharing your fabulous Charlotte Tilbury purchases…the magic cream sounds divine and I've seen a few reviews of the lip color and am very intrigued. Excited to hear about your experience!

With regards to your other recent purchases…any shade of By Terry Ombre Blackstar is pure luxury…the formula cannot be topped! The Hourglass Ambient brush is simply gorgeous…love it. Also, I know many who adore the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip cleanser…I never started using it (beyond a trial size) because I am wildly devoted to my Koh Gen Do Spa Water, however, I know it is a best seller. Finally, so sorry that the KA SSE was a miss for you…the scent is definitely not my favorite…I do better when I mix it with another product to cut both the texture and the fragrance! That being said, I am glad that your skin made a quick recovery!!

Have a lovely weekend and talk soon…xoxo,
