Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Video Review and Tutorial + Product Images!

Happy Monday!  Here is my review and tutorial featuring Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate in Intensity 01…I use this product to create subtle contours and highlighting on the face.
Upon viewing the video, kindly scroll on for pristine product images (taken before I started using it regularly, when it still looked fresh and untouched) and swatches of both Intensity 01 (suitable for NC/NW 10-35) and Intensity 02 (suitable for NC/NW 35 and above) in various lighting!
Also, as promised, my Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner Tutorial for DermStore/Blush.com (mentioned in this video!) can be found HERE!!
Enjoy!  Looking forward to your comments, questions and thoughts ; )

Products (with their accompanying links) discussed during this video include:
And now, for some images of the Shade and Illuminate
Above: This rather substantial compact retails for $75.

Above: The remarkably brief ingredient list…although it is a cream product and contains oil, it has not irritated or congested my skin in the slightest bit!

Above: The compact comes in the signature Tom Ford sleek sueded brown sheath.

Bottom Line:  Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate is one of my favorite daily staples to create contour, dimension and glow on my face.  I love how quickly it can be applied and how natural it looks (when used with restraint!).  Seamless, long lasting and incredibly effective…I highly recommend this!

Hi B.P, hope you had a great weekend. Sooo excited to see the video on Tom Ford S & I. I had been waiting to see it as I'm dying to purchase it. After viewing the video,I definitley will. I love the idea of a cream rather than packing on too many powders. I have pretty good skin, but like most of us seeing those tiny lines around the eyes start to show. Sometimes using power illuminator can accentuate them. My question is, did u not use your beloved LMDB peau vierge? Your skin already had an amazing glow to it. Was it the foundation? Love the videos, please keep them coming! xoxo Now off to purchase my Tom Ford! Thank you so much

      Hi Lynn,

Thanks! My weekend was fantastic, albeit a bit too brief ; ) I am so glad the video clarified your desire for the Shade and Illuminate…I deliberated on this product for quite awhile before settling on it myself! The cream does sit very well with all skin types and, as I mentioned in the video, looks more natural than a powder can (at least in my experience!).

I did have some Peau Vierge on (forgot to mention it…it is always my first step, no matter what foundation I am wearing, so it slipped my mind!) and the Face Atelier foundation also has a bit of a glow as well. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the S and I!!

      xoxo,

Nice…how would say does it compare to the MAC Pro Sculpting Creams or Kevin Aucoin Sculpting Powders?

      Hi Jezz,

Thanks…good to hear from you! I haven't used the MAC Pro Sculpting Cream, so I cannot weigh in on that; however, I have the KA Sculpting Powder and like the Tom Ford Much more…it looks more natural, blends into the skin more easily and doesn't oxidize gray (like the KA can on my skin!). Have you tried either or all? Thoughts?!

      Take care…xo,

hmm thanks for the comparison with the KA sculpting powder too – i was debating that one a lot last year! Anyway, I can't remember if I commented on your video, but your review has definitely made me more interested in this product again! 🙂

      Hi Bronzer Bunny!!

My pleasure…I know that many people love the KA powder but I have a difficult time making it look natural on me ; ) Hope your week has been going well…the weekend is almost here!!!

Take care, talk soon and xoxo,
