Updated Details on Le Metier de Beaute’s Melange de Couler Palette

After my visit with LMdB Director of Color Mikey Castillo last week, I was delighted to receive his latest face charts, which feature a list of each of the Melange de Couler Palette eye shadow’s names as well as a myriad of ways of combining them to achieve a host of stunning looks.

In order to view the PDF, click the arrow in the top left had corner to expand the images to fill the screen and then scroll to your heart’s content!  If you have any trouble viewing it in this post, try clicking the link HERE to see this document in google docs.  My favorite chart is the beige-heavy neutral, slightly lilac Executive Look…what’s yours?

The palette is currently available for pre-order at Neiman Marcus…will you be ordering this case of gorgeousness?

xo,

Yes I can see this now. I also preordered this palette and from what I understand the ship date for this keeps getting pushed back. My sa told me initially it would be in last weekend and now its this weekend and she has still get to get this in. I had some lip glosses from this collection on preorder as well and she finally decided to ship those out to me because she didn't want me to wait and she has no idea when she is getting this. It makes me so sad…I want this now! =P

So glad you can see it now…how frustrating that you don't have this gem in your possession yet. It has been such a hot seller and the Beverly Hills NM told me that they are completely sold out in LA! Which lip glosses did you get? I have Pink-e Promise and love it. I hope you get your palette soon…apparently there is still a supply of them in middle America (both coasts were obliterated!).

Take care and hang in there ; )

I preordered the palette but I'm scared my MA will forget. I better call and remind her! Even though I probably have most of the colors from the many Kaleidoscopes, I still want this since it will be easy to use and remind me of what is packed away in my drawer.

So excited that you ordered this palette…yes, indeed…delicately hound your MA until you get this veritable treasure trove in your hands. It is so streamlined and compact…I have a sneaking suspicion you will LOVE it! Enjoy!

Hope your week is off to a good start…xoxo,

success! thank you so much! seeing these face charts has really challenged me to consider using the shades in many more ways than i would have, especially in the layering/couches de couleurs. i was initially inspired to get the palette because of the beautiful looking blues and greens. i don't really have blue and green eyeshadows right now, and LMdB's reputation for doing them well pushed me over the edge. But seeing these face charts… i am more and more convinced this will be my favorite purchase of the year!!!

    Hey, Prof!

Thanks so much for posting these charts – i just managed to get my grubby little paws on this for a very good price
via ebay (woot!) and am SO excited to get it. I have a terrible feeling this will lead to a helpless addiction to Le Metier de Beaute…ah well.

I heard some people had issues with a couple colours being "chalky". Did you find that to be true? You may have addressed this in another post, forgive me my laziness if so :). *wanders off to look*

      Hello Twyla,

Happy to oblige ; ) Congrats on acquiring this on Ebay for a good price..that is awesome! When I swatched this palette, I didn't find any of the colors to feel chalky, but I don't own it so I cannot speak to day to day experience with this gem. I will say that the other LMdB shadows I have are never chalky…just marvelously pigmented and smooth.

xoxo and keep me posted on what you think when you receive it!

      Oh. My. Goodness.
I am in LOVE. This palette is so gorgeous, and no chalkiness with any of the shades at all. Just utter perfection! The pigmentation is perfect, and they're so buttery-smooth. Le wow.
      I put a few pics and such up here;
