FOTD with Dior Airflash

Last weekend I ran across my trusty can of Dior Airflash in #301 (Sand) and decided to give it a whirl…I hadn’t used it since the end of last summer but, as always, was pleased with its natural finish!
FACE:
Rouge Bunny Rouge Bronzer in Netherway Cove
Sunday Riley Blush in Blushing
EYES:
Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Shadow in #28 (a new favorite…review soon!)
Nars Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliner in Via Appia
LIPS:
Beauty Is Life lip color in Cosmopolitan
While I love Dior Airflash in a pinch, I have been wearing the Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation for the last week and will be posting my detailed review of 5.5 and 6.5 in the next couple of days…in short, it is amazing!

    Hi Beauty Professor!

You look amazing in these pictures! Your hair looks incredible – so bouncy and healthy-looking. Were you using those hot rollers you reviewed about a month ago?

I am eagerly awaiting your Maestro review. I am most anxious to hear which shade (or combination thereof) worked for you. I am a 5.5 in the Luminous Silk, so I was hoping a 5.5 would work for me in the Maestro. I am also curious about the finish. Can't wait!

Did you watch the finale last night of Bachelor Pad? I missed last week's episode, but tuned in for the finale. I was a little shocked by Nick's move at the end, but he had a point about being overlooked by everyone and essentially getting to where he got on his own. Plus, Rachel was kind of getting on my nerves. I was also really disappointed in Michael. I think he acted like a total jerk and led Rachel on. Why can't I refrain from getting invested in this crap?!

I have not purchased any new lippies recently. Actually, for fall, I am going to try to change things up (I know, I know…it never usually works out), and get a dark, vampy lip color. I can't decide which shade to get, but I might try a Tom Ford color since I like the formula so much. As far as lighter colors, I have been lemming both Beauty is Life products (the gloss and the lipcolor) you featured. Those may be in my future!

As always, thanks for the great reviews. How is this semester going for you so far?

Take care and talk to you soon!!

      Kate!

Lovely to hear from you. What is new?! Thanks so much for the sweet compliment…I did indeed use the Calista curlers I reviewed last month. They are seriously the easiest way to make it look like I actually did something with my hair ; )

The Maestro review is coming soon…I have been testing it carefully, taking images of fresh application vs. end of the day wear and just a have a few swatch photos to do before finalizing things…my teaching schedule is back to being quite intense so I am looking for free time where ever I can find it! I think that you, like me, could wear 5.5 or 6.5–because they adapt to your skin tone there is some flexibility, but as we head into winter, 5.5 should be perfect!

I took a few weeks off of watching Bachelor Pad…between vacationing and feeling like I had no one to root for, I hadn't watched an episode in awhile. We did, however, watch the finale last night and I am glad we did…so satisfying. I thought that Nick provided perfect rationale for his choice and his victory confirmed that he played "the game" (however absurd and vile it is) better than everyone else…in that regard, good for him : ) I guess we will now have to wait for the next Bachelor installment and get sucked into the madness once again!

I completely understand your gravitation towards a dark lip…it is so tempting this time of year. As of yet, I have not succumbed to the temptation…just bought a new Chanel pale pink called Gracille and a Laura Mercier Creme formula called Pink Blush…loving them so far!

Thanks for asking about my semester–so far so good. I am loving my classes and my students are fantastic…eager to learn and open to sharing, which makes the meetings so much more enjoyable for everyone! How is is work going for you?

Have a wonderful rest of the week and talk soon!

      xoxo,

      Hello,

Thanks for your question. I am about NC 27 or so right now and I can wear both 5.5 and 6.5…I think 5.5 will be good for me as winter approaches and the last of my summer tan fades, but right now I wear a mix of both 5.5 and 6.5 in the Maestro to get the perfect match.

If you think you will get lighter than NC 30 as the months go on, then I suggest 5.5, however, if you stay a true NC 30 year round, then I think that 6.5 will be the way to go.

      Hope that helps!!

Take care, let me know what you decide and have a great week,
