Beauty Is Life Camel Eye Shadow!

Beauty Is Life eyeshadows come in a compact with a sturdy flip top lid.

The Beauty Is Life eyeshadow range yields some of the silkies, smoothest, most crease-free shades I have ever encountered.  I selected Camel (17 w), which is basically the color that its name implies, because I like neutral shadows that I can wear everyday.  What makes this shadow unique to my collection is the fact that it is completely matte and I usually wear neutral shadows with medium to heavy shimmer, like Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill in #15.

Beauty Is Life Eyeshadow in Camel…amazingly smooth texture.

The Beauty Is Life shadow in Camel is like wearing velvet…it is so silky and is extremely pigmented, especially for a light color.  I put it over a bit of Edward Bess Eye Primer (review forthcoming) and it seriously lasts all day.

Beauty Is Life Eyeshadow in Camel (17 w) is a matte yellow/brown true camel shade with dense opacity and an extremely silky finish.

Camel in direct sunlight…completely matte yet somehow still glowing!

Camel in the shade.
Beauty Is Life eye shadow in Camel applied alone up to brows…I am also wearing Laura Mercier Faux Lash Mascara (review coming soon!)

I love that the subtle shade of Camel allows it to be worn all the way up to the brow bone should I chose.  It is muted without being blasé and remains glowing all day despite the fact that it is completely matte.

The full effect…in this image, I am wearing Camel blended up to my brows.

Bottom Line: I am so happy that I went out of my comfort zone and selected this shade…Camel is a sophisticated neutral that is suitable for everyday use, adding polish and illumination (without the shimmer) in an understated way.

Have u tried Bare Essentials eyeshadows? Wow they have so many colors to choose from…. matte, shimmery, foiled. And the maker of the products says that the products are made from minerals in the earth. Its always good to find a great product with excellent ingredients. 🙂

    Hello Ashley,

Thanks for the comment! I haven't tried the Bare Escentuals eye shadow (though I have used many other products from that line)…they do seem to reflect great variety in terms of shade, texture and finish! What eye shadows are you currently enjoying?

    Take care,
