Le Metier d’ Beaute Color Core Lipstick: Battle of the Pale Pinks: Palm Springs vs. Miami

Le Metier de Beaute’s Color Core Moisture Stain Lipsticks are a rare breed…saturated color, smooth texture, minimal shine, lasting hydration and a lovely stain after hours of wear.  Retailing for $32, these gems are available at high-end department stores, including Nordstrom and Bergdorf Goodman.   Of course, I was drawn to two of the lightest pinks in the collection, Palm Springs and Miami and couldn’t be happier with their effect.
Palm Springs is a light opaque pink with slightly lavender undertones.  I have heard some describe it as a pink nude, but when I wear it, I don’t detect any of the beige that I generally associate with nude colors.  It has a slight frost that adds to its softness without looking garish.

This color is so versatile and flattering, that I have bought it for two different friends in the past year.  One thing I find interesting is that while it does leave behind a stain after hours of wear, the stain is a lovely pale pink rather than the obnoxious hot pink that can sometime develop even with the most delicate of pink lipsticks!

Miami is a very light pink with slightly salmon undertones.  It is very pale and has a fine yet perceptible shimmer that makes your lips look healthy and full.  It has enough color to wear alone (I like to pair this with a smokey eye) but can also be used to lighten a darker lipstick or gloss, making it an exceptional multi-tasker.

Miami is a beautiful shade that lends to a soft and feminine look without overdoing the frost!

Palm Springs and Miami side by side…both pink but definitely unique.

Le Metier de Beaute has formulated a gorgeous lipstick balanced with the right amount of color, shimmer, opacity and lasting power…if you are a lover of light pinks, I highly recommend Palm Springs and Miami for your collection!
