Crystal Gloss in “Flushed” from the New Sephora Collection

The obsession with nude, pink and peachy lip color continues with a brief review of “Flushed” one of Sephora’s new Crystal Gloss incarnations released with its collaboration with Pantone.  Retailing for a reasonable $14, this tube features 0.12 oz of shiny, non-sticky color that lasts for an impressively long time.

Flushed is what I would classify as a sophisticated pinky-peach, leaning more towards the peach side of the spectrum once applied.

The extremely smooth texture of the gloss could make this product seem very sheer, but I found that two swipes with the doe-foot applicator yielded fairly opaque coverage.  This has some very fine shimmer to add a bit of dimension, but I would still classify it more like a cream gloss than a shimmery one.

This gloss translates fairly neutral…it is not a bright or loud shade and it does not feature ultra mirror-like shine, but it definitely provides lips with a nicely-balance wash of color that compliments a smoky eye or a subdued everyday look.  The gloss has a slippery feeling that leaves my lips feeling moisturized throughout the duration of my wear time and has a light candy-inspired scent that dissipates quickly.

Below are some swatches for color comparison:

1. LORAC’s Lips with Benefits Gloss in Josh (reviewed HERE)

2. Sephora’s Crystal Gloss in Flushed

3. Dior Addict Extreme in Saint Tropez (soon to be reviewed!)

Flushed is a lovely everyday gloss for a polished and neutral look…one can never go wrong with a creamy peach lip and that reality is what makes this product a fine one!
